Forums - Gaming - I’d Be Skeptical of Reports About the PlayStation 4 Being ’50% Faster’

But what else does the PS4 really have going for it? The $100 price is rather meaningless in the long run. The fact that most all multi plats did not run as well on the PS3 is true, so why would people assume it is going to be much different this time around? Because Sony said they were listening this time? DirectX and PC are still lead development platforms.

It also doesn't have Kinect 2.0, the new awesome controller with impulse triggers, and its getting a few features like Xbox Live. While yes, it does have a touch pad, it's not very convenient for games according to people that have played it. And oh, wow, innovation, innovation! It's going to have TWO rumble motors - so it's catching up with the Xbox 360.

Part of me thinks, just give those "Aging bipolar gamers" their last hurrah. I've met a few, and I really don't even them or their lives. The ones I know, and have met in real life, are miserable loathsome people with negative views and are generally suffer from Lachanophobia, and yes it shows. Let them chant "GDDR5" with their sporty protective head gear.  It makes them happy, let them have a few lingering mometns of happiness.

Other than speculation, and a few exclusives, what does the PS4 really have going for it in the long run? Recycled WiiMove? To be the king of the collection of dust? Oh, yes, something, something, PS4 Eye Camera, might have some voice recognition.

Dude, you're better than this.

Let's us all just assume PS4 is a crap even tough everything suggest the opposite and just xbone will be a decent machine with any selling power

Is he?

I'd be skeptical of 50% too. If you look at all of the data it is probably closer to 70%-100%. ;)

Sorry man if I offended.  I ran out of ice cream, yet they still keep coming and will not leave us alone.  Some of us just want to have a nice science and curiosity discussions about the new tech discussion without irreverent and irrelevant interjections by those who do not understand what we are discussing. I do realize this tech is above the heads of most geeks out there, and even more so the armchair console designer.

Somehow, much like The Hoard, our mere existence and interest in new things violates something in their world.  I do know where some of it is coming from, but other ones are just well odd.

No offense intended to those that need to wear helmets for medical purposes.  Y'all are all beautiful.

Perhaps I should bring in a bigger gun.  Kitten pics!

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

I TOTALLY understand. There are so many fanboys out there just shouting bullfish that it really can get you built up. Without ice cream it is indeed harder to brush them off.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Yep there are a lot of fanboys defending ridiculous ideas like dGPU or 16Gb RAM rumours... and other mean fanboys that don't want to let them look like fools by believing in idiotic things.

I ain't too skeptical seeing as how the difference between the PS4 and xbone is now bigger than the PS360.
