I've played some of it it. It doesn't at all match the scale and beauty of SOTC, but its a good game in its own right. Theres just something about SOTC. Even Castlevania LOS ripped off the game and couldn't match up with a last gen games charm. Still as beautiful as ever in HD.

SoTC was really good from what i played. i really should go back and finish that but the stupid fish boss was frustrating me and i put it down for a while. then it became a casualty of my massive backlog. :(

I'll have to judge it, since I only saw the slaughter of one of the colossi (A friend of mine was playing it), and the gameplay seems interesting enough, but I loved the atmosphere and settings of ICO more, minus the handicapped AI.

I'll have to judge it, since I only saw the slaughter of one of the colossi (A friend of mine was playing it), and the gameplay seems interesting enough, but I loved the atmosphere and settings of ICO more, minus the handicapped AI.

I prefer Ico slightly over SotC, only because Ico is great to play together while SotC works better on your own. Both are amazing, top 5 best games of all time.
You don't experience the atmosphere and setting as much in SotC from watching someone else playing it, you have to wander around by yourself and struggle with the morality of the main character. It's the desolate setting and complete isolation that make it special.

That's also why I don't get why people compare Castlevenia LoS to SotC. Yes it has big bosses, but the games couldn't be more different. I still have to finish LoS, I lost interest due to the repetitive combat.

Oh, sometimes getting to the colossi wil be an issue. None of them have the same mechanics and they get harder with each one. Theres always a different way to get get onto them as well.  The final one...::shakes head:: motherf...

P.S. 

SOTC, where the roach is truly bests the fly swatter. ;)

The reason the they are compared is becasue SOTC was the forerunner to Castlevania LOS Colossi battles.
