The cell wasn't able to handle it, so I highly doubt it. On another note, there is something strange with WiiU that might make me buy it.

I honestly wonder where this line of thought comes from.

Somewhere along the line Sony fans were led to believe the cell was this super powerful thing that could do everything a GPU could do and more. As well as handle processing task at the same time.  There's a reason why GPUs do a lot of things better than processors. GPUs are even getting more floating point support than ever. Still obvious reasons why we need processors, but come the cell is not great. http://www.tomsitpro.com/articles/stanford-nvidia-gpu-cuda-machine_learning,1-1104.html for those questioning GPU strength.

Could you? Usually your post in my threads consist of you asking why the thread was created, so extra feedback and explanation from you would be a welcome site!

^_^ Yang sueng chong lee!

No I cannot.

Congratulations on the constructive thread by the way!

The Wii U is more powerful then most people think. Nintendo has way more money and time in R&D then the other consoles. They didn't just buy a off the self chip, they customize their chip. Sporting a GPGPU, we all going to see what the Wii U can really do. Bayonetta 2 sporting 1080p at 60 fps sounds good. Mario Kart 8 will run 720p at 60fps. The Wii U will hold its own against the other consoles.

i thought it was 1080p :P

I read somewhere that Nintendo said their games will run at 720p.  You could very well be right, and that's even better.

Well, Smash Bros. is confirmed by Nintendo themselves to run in 1080p, and though they didn't comment on the framerate, 60 fps is a safe bet. Wind Waker HD is 1080p, too (yeah that's a remake of an old game, but still). I think it was just the first wave of Wii U games that ran in 720p.

Nintendo Network ID: Cheebee   3DS Code: 2320 - 6113 - 9046

Well I woulnd't mind 720p at 60FPS, but 1080p, yeah great.

They did a terrible job of porting Bayonetta 1 to the PS3, so it mandatory that framerate is locked at 60FPS this time, regardless of 1080p resolution.

If they do a limited edition bundle of the 1st Bayo with Bayo2, I am all there on day one for this game!!!

That would be a great things for Wii U owners who missed out on the original. Would it be possible to add it to the eShop, maybe?

@OT: really excited for this game, specs notwithstanding. Kamiya has proven himself one of the great minds in the industry today, and the first Bayonetta was one of the best action games I've ever played.

I doubt it, a game that was originally being worked on something other than Wii U being in 1080p before the exclusivity deal is unlikely. If it was 1080p, then that's a shocker, but I'm not hoping for it because it's probably not.

1080p, 720p, as long as it's as drop-dead fantastic as the first game, I'm happy.

Most likely upscaled. Can't see the game with those visuals and so much going on the screen at once, to be running 1080p/60fps on the Wii U.
