I disagree. When you hear the Spyro soundtrack, you knew it was Spyro. That stands to this day. 

The tracks are instantly recognizable and perfectly fit thé game. Thats what you want, right?

I'm going to choose to beleive that you're saying to to troll me because you're aware that I believe that the first 3 Spyro games have 3 of the best soundtracks in the whole of videogaming.

Genuinely.  No other games come close for me.  Stewart Copeland is a musical genius.

Amazingly fun series back in the day, still makes me sad to see how the series has fallen over the years. Still, I could see it coming back some day, and I still like to give these games a chance whenever they appear, even if it's only just to see how the games have changed.

....maybe I missed something :S ? As I said: I only played the first half....or 2/3rds of the first game on the PSP recently... :/ hmmm

I was mostly kidding with the first line, but I do find it a shame that you don't like the soundtrack because the Spyro games genuinely have some of my favourite video game songs of all time.

And hell, I love the Banjo Kazooie soundtrack, but I don't think it holds a candle to Spyro!
