I don't even think they're ever going to reach that goal of 60fps since all they're gonna do is make the same mistake they've always been doing. By that I mean, is pushing the console to it's limits that there isn't enough oomph left in the hardware to run the software smoothly.

Now that they got new hardware they're going to forget about framerates and focus more on graphics as usual.

I guess you mean just single player, since, as mentioned already, the MP is already 60fps.

Yeah pretty much.

All games should just have in the options and a check box to allow the game to run at 60fps. When checking this box it changes AA, texture level, etc... in order to achieve it.

Give everyone the option so they stop whining.

After watching the trailer/gameplay in 1080p, to be honest I was majorly underwhelmed. IMO, it looked meh. The animations were awful and stiff, the character models looked off, the smoke and fire effects just appeared and disappeared from spots without any smooth effect or transition. Definitely wasn't dynamic smoke/fire. Colors and graphics seemed washed out at spots.

This is killzone, a game with a devoted but small fanbase compared to others. IMO, to those calling it the best looking next gen game must be seeing something different than me. Heck I thought KZ3 looked better than this... (and yes I've played both KZ2&3)

That's exclusive to PC gamers, which is why they whine much less :P

Sorry CGI but I have to call BS on that.

They whine all the time because they are excluded from comparisons and exclusive debates because PC doesn't count.

Yeah, maybe PC fanBOYS (and not on VGC), put the PC fans, pbut here, they hardly whine about anything, especially not 60fps and what not.

Spoiled PC users... -.-

60 fps is def. needed for mp fps imo. My major issue with most mp fps is that the controls are far from the smooth feel I get playing a 60-120fps shooter using my ds3 on my pc. SP i couldn't care cause it's not competitive but in mp it's most der. impt. To the people who claim no diff. between 30-60 fps, It's less about the visuals and more about better accuracy and input lag.

The reason 30fps is what most devs aim for is that while you can notice it, it still looks somewhat smooth. 40fps and up will look smooth to most people. Supposedly though there's no one that can visually tell the difference between 60fps and up, although higher framerate, even beyond 60fps is still good since it'll react better to what your input was. You might not notice the difference, but it's there.

Just wanted to say this really nails it.

Dreamcast taught me the difference between 30fps and 60fps. Since then (as prior to that 30fps was the target on most home console games) I haven't looked back. I have a lot more respect for a developer who puts out a 60fps game, rather than a more complex 30fps game. Your interaction feels a lot more instant and as a result, you feel a lot more in control of the game.

KillZone Shadow Fall at 60fps? That would be very nice thank you very much! :)

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

From all the hype from Sony regarding the PS4, 1080p at 60fps shouldn't be a problem. While it might very well be the most powerful, it won't live up to the standard everyone thinks.

And what standard is that? If it's 1080p/60FPS, the PS4 will achieve that many times over.

See, you are part of the problem.  You got to get off that Sony bandwagon.  I will believe it when I see it.

Actually, after watching the multiplayer one again, alongside the single player one, it seems that the multiplayer had better models, animations, and smoke/fire/explosion effects. I suppose that could be due to the scale of single player being much higher. And I suppose some of the issue may be the YouTube quality (even at 1080p).

That's why I miss downloading trailers like we always used to. So much better quality than YouTube streaming. I will take back my comments and withhold judgement for first hand experiences to come.

Do you even know what you are talking about? The PS4 can easily do 1080p60. But if a developer chooses to go with 30fps or 720p there is not a lot that the PS4 can do to avoid that. It's a developer decision. The PS3 could even do 1080p60 but then most of the games would have had very little on screen.
