Forums - Sony - PSVITA.TV just announced!!!

This seems to be a 3rd pillar, doesn't it? PS4, Vita and Vita.TV

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Not really since it doesn't require any additional development resources. It's literally the Vita chipset doubling as a set top box.

PS3 isn't going anywhere for a while yet either.

There's a list of compatible titles for it. It seems no Uncharted, Gravity Rush, or Wipeout, amongst others.

Surely it needs the best games to be a success?

well it has Persona 4 golden still. but that's 1 out of the 4 games I really wanted to play, I probably will want to pay more, and I'd think that new games would try to be compatible for it. Otherwise it's a PSP 2000 + roku.

Seriously, what the heck is that ?
Is it aimed to be a substitute for the PS4, for people who can´t afford it?
What about the games that use touchscreen controls ?

The idea of making a handheld that works as a home console seems nice, but this is kind of weird.

If they´re looking for a way to save Vita, they should launch a cheaper version of it. Simple. This TvVita is something just too excentric to be successfull (I may be wrong, but time will tell)

they can't sell it as a handheld so they make a console out of it?

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Front screen= L2 + left stick
back screen = R2 + right stick

Why get a Vita when the vita tv is this awesome? You can play your Vita outside your house...you know...like you were always meant to?

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

I know this product seems really strange but I could honestly see it work out really well in the end.
I could be wrong but something about this makes me want it, the concept behind it is really fascinating.

Yeah, but this one isn't portable. It's more of a very cheap home console that plays portable games. It probably won't compete with 3DS or Vita, but might cut into Xbox/PS/Wii U sales while boosting Vita Game sales...
