They do suck nowadays. Very sad considering the amazing games they put out on NES, SNES, PS One, PS2 and GameCube. They used to be so creative. R.I.P
Thankfully some of their old spirit live on through Platinum Games

Wrong. Inafune still cares. He's always cared about that little blue man.
Just another negative I hate something thread. Sure there not as good as they used to be,but I don't want them to go under. Resident evil and DMC are a couple of my favorite gaming franchises.
To be fair, they did bring us the excellent Resident Evil Revelations on 3DS.
I don't really agree with your conclusions, but they definitely have been making iffy choices .
If only they would stop trying to imitate western developers/publishers so desperately and stop trying to ''appeal'' to western gamers by ''westernizing'' their franchises...

I don't think that's the problem. I think the problem is abandoning some of their popular old IP's or ruining them by changing what they are. That, and some of the ways they handle things like localization and DLC are not very good. "Imitating" western developers is arguably a good thing.

Can you name me a street fighter game that has never received an update? Do you know why they're updated?
SF1, only change was going from force feedback inputs to actual buttons.
SFII had so many remakes, I can't name them all.
SFIII, SFII: 2ND Impact, SFIII:Third Strike, SFIII:3S: Online Edition
Then, there's SFIV with it's obvious amount of upgrades.
All of todays fighters are upgraded. There's lots of variables and things that can happen in those games and it's impossible to fix everything before you release it. It's always been this way. Release a fighting game, and release an upgrade later. If you don't release an upgrade, whatever exploits found in the game will remain forever.
Tekken: Bloodline Rebellion, Tekken: Dark Resurrection, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom, and many others.
But, outside of that, I do agree with you. I was thinking just yesterday, what would happen if Comcept became bigger than capcom and absorbed them or something. Most of the comcept guys are people that worked at capcom when capcom was still good, lol. If those same people get the rights to the IPs they originally created, it would be so awesome.
You just quoted the six reason why capcom is awesome.
Megaman.
Resident Evil.
Devil May Cry.
Monster Hunter.
Okami.
Street Fighter 2 Turbo.
You should thank them for these games, not poop on them because you don't like the sequels/absence of sequels)
