Forums - Gaming - Top 6 reasons why Capcom is a fraud and needs to die

I  will do some threads on specific companies that need to die because they are fucking frauds and they are killing gaming. First company I will be exposing is our good ol' pal which goes by the name of Capcom.  Let's begin, shall we?

               1. They killed their mascot: They killed Mega Man. I already made a thread explaining how Capcom actually cared for Mega Man and they were publishing good Mega man games like 9 and 10. Then they  said fuck it and they cancelled 4 Mega Man games which are Legends 3, Online, Universe and Maverick Hunter. All of them ( specially maverick Hunter) looked like they could have been decent games, but no. Capcom is so dumb  that they don't know what to do with poor Mega Man.

They are putting him in Smash Bros 4, but that was Sakurai's idea. Maybe Nintendo felt bad for Mega Man? I would feel bad for the poor Blue Bomber as well if I was in Nintendo's shoes.

                2. They killed Resident Evil- RE4 was an amazing game, but they decided to make it even LESS horror than that with RE5. How you may ask?! By giving you an annoying partner that is there to take away from the tension. In RE5, there are enemies with guns! With GUNS! It was also linear as all fucking hell.

RE6 is even WORSE.  RE6 has zombies, but the game is not scary by any means. You still have a fucking partner that will make the game less scary and the game is so damn linear, it's REALLY hard to get fucked over by a huge amount of zombies. REALLY HARD. The game also has more Michael Bay style explosions. Hoo-fucking-ray.

               3. They milk Monster Hunter to death: Before you rage, hear me out on this. I don't hate MH. i think MH3U is a great game and the series is also great. BUT! The way the series gets milked is ASTOUNDING. We got  MH3 for 3 diffrent platforms. Wii, 3DS and Wii U. I know the 3DS and Wii U aren't the same exact games as the Wii version, but they aren't new games by any means.

Also, we are getting an 2007 game for the PS3 and Wii u. Monster Hunter Frontier. How sad. What a sad attempt at cashing off an ultra popular franchise. Really? They are acting as if the game is new or something. Oh and it's not coming to Europe or America............. Great.

              4.  Killing franchises  like Devil may Cry, Lost Planet  and Breath of Fire: DmC wasn't a bad game, but the story and characters were so fucking dumb and unlikeable I almost gave up on playing the damn game. The combat was fun, but slightly lackluster at times. Bosses were meh. A meh game overall. You know what would have been awesome? If Kamiya was involved, but I will leave that for point number 5. Lost Planet is not looking too nice either. 57 at metacritic? Ouch. I hated Lost Planet 2 and I don't think I will even bother with Lost Planet 3.

Breath of Fire 6? For fuck's sake. Why did it have to be a tablet game? FUCKING WHY?!  The game also looks like a fucking joke. Damn it, Capcom. Damn it! The game looks like the typical tablet game that is supposed to appeal to little kids. Damn it.

             5. Clover Studios goes extinct along with their games: The games still belong to Capcom, but Capcom is not doing jack shit with them. Viewtiful Joe is dead. Poor Joe. Okami is dead as shit.  We got a half assed sequel for the DS. Yipee....... And God Hand? Yeah..... That is dead, too. Now the staff has moved to Platinum to work on amazing games like Bayonetta, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2, Vanquish, metal Gear Rising and so on. Capcom doesn't like talent it seems.

Last and  the most painful reason- 6. They scam gamers with their fighting games- Street Fighter 4 it's getting yet another upgrade if  you will. I know this happened with Street Fighter 2 but that  doesn't mean is OK! It  doesn't. That's like saying is Ok for a rapist to keep raping kids just because he did earler in his life. It's not. That's what Capcom is doing. It's raping gamers  by milking Street Fighter.  This is one of the 6 deadly sins Capcom always had. Even in the SNES days. Milking is NEVER good. Not with Activision,  EA, Konami, Blizzard, with NOBODY.

I am not done yet. There is also the MvC3 fiasco that involves the game having disk locked content and the game also getting an update 8 months later. Lame. The same goes to Street Fighter X Tekken, but hey! That one also had the ugly  Mega Man! That was Inafune approved so I digress.

What do you think? AM I WRONG OR RIGHT? DID I LOSE MY MIND OR I AM PERFECTLY FINE? I let you decide.

If capcom didn't make dragons dogma i woudn't be sad if they went bankrupt.

They are a fraud, yeah, but I don't want them to die as long as they're capable of doing things such as Dragon's Dogma.

You're not wrong, but you're not right, either, because you came up with only six reasons. There are so many more that I'll have to grade your post as "incomplete".

They will improve 3DS sales! They are good for Nintendo!!!!!!

Megaman should be bought by Nintendo! He belongs with people that care :P

Dragon's Dogma was great. Better then Skyrim. But other then that they should learn some lessons.
Also Deep Down doesn't look like it could live up to the first footage we saw in february.

But wishing a company the death cause of some mistakes is kinda crazy if you ask me. Just boycott it LOL.

Deep Down also looks awesome, but getting 2 or 3 gems every 6 or 7 years is not a good sign. Rememeber when we were getting Viewtiful Joe,  GOOD Devil may Cry games, GOOD Resident Evil games, Okami,   GOOD Breath of Fire games and so on? Yeah. Those times are gone.

They can die for all I care. And there are more reasons why they are shitty than you even listed so yeah, there you go.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

I've never felt the same attachment to Capcom's franchises as I have to other companies. Breath of Fire is the only one that I actively cared about, and I'm not even that fussed about BoF 6 anyway. It'd been dead for 10 years anyway. Longer, if you disliked Dragon Quarter like I did.

Oh, and I liked Street Fighter Ex, but that was short lived anyway.

Square Enix continually ballsing up pretty much everything they do is a much bigger deal for me.

As i've said before, Capcom often seems schizophrenic in their approach to the market. Both in terms of games I personally like, and in terms of diversity of lineup, they are one of the best third parties in a way, but they just seem determined to make stupid decisions about certain franchises. There's a real Jekyll and Hyde thing going on with Capcom, where you don't know whether you're going to get the "we'll make the online free for Monster Hunter Tri" Capcom, or the "let's make them buy Street Fighter IV *again*!" Capcom.

(for the record, i would say that Ubisoft is objectively the most versatile and consumer-conscious third party out there, and that Sega is the one i like the most subjectively)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
