Forums - Microsoft - A Positive Xbox One Thread

Sure, that's a good point.

I think that with investors wanting msft to sell off the xbox devision, Balmer being forced out, etc, that the fans need this kind of thing. So i agree with what you seemed to imply.

It's not needed it's just nice to have it. Also it's laughable that you think that news gets Xbox fans down or sad or something. A reason a thread like this could be considered necessery is because of people wanting to shit on anything Microsoft/Xbox related.

Which speaks more about their needs than xbox fans.

I would love an ignore list for google chrome. I've actually been mulling over making a thread about better posting habits and whatnot...just been to lazy to go make it though

I wanted to do this but lack the authority.

Can I put a green tag on my name for a week and make everyone shit themselves?

I cannot wait.

I've preordered mine from MS store online, (free postage!) and really hope it arrives for launch day... Or maybe even a day earlier.

I've still yet to finalize my launch game preorders - but Day One editions of Forza 5, Ryse and Dead Rising 3 seem like a nice range of genre , and I like steelcases (!)- in addition to the Peggle 2 - which will be the first game I download.

Still undecided to go retail or digital for my full titles - pricing details would play a part in that decision, but also if sharing of digital titles becomes a thing - either way - even if I waited til I got my One to decide whether to go digital or retail for the games that offer that choice - I'd still have Peggle 2! And Killer Instinct.

November - Doctor Who 50th anniversary, Xbox One, Liverpool still somewhere in the top 4 - I'll be happier than a nun in church - though the last one may be unlikely... I believe in The Doctor, The One and The Reds.

Let see, positive.......

Forza looks amazing, zoo tycoon looks fun, and the next kinect adventure sports game seems quite enjoyable. And that controller is sexy.

Kinect Sports: Rivals. It has six sports, bowling, football (soccer), tennis, rock climbing, target shooting and wave racing (I'm not sure if thats what they call it!).

The first season of Kinect sports on the X360 is amazingly good, still gunning for that 300 game tho... Maybe if I get that I will move onto the next system hah :D Would be cool to see if the newer Kinect adds more accuracy to adding spin to shots in Rivals.

As for this thread all I can say is Nice 1 to carl on it, it really doesn't matter at the end of the day what the whole world around you is doing as long as you're chilling with your favourite system playing games you love, need more thinking like that. As for people trying to rally up people just to make a bigger division of Them/Us type thing, I don't think that is too healthy really.

As an Xbox enthusiast I didn't really like where the Xbox was heading in June, but ever since the 180 the Xbox has looked more and more appealing.
I just wish they could drop the Kinect V2 thus dropping the price, I have the PsMove and Kinect V1 and they are fun little novelty's for 20 or so minutes though after that I switch to controller based games.
I guess Microsoft feels they have a distinct advantage with motion controls just like the Wii did in gen 7 and perhaps they do.

Nonetheless Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, and Killer Instinct is a very good launch lineup to have, I'm most interested in Sunset OverDrive as of now can't wait to see more of that.

What is your gamerscore I might be ahead of you already if not then my younger brother is since his gamerscore is 71,637. Plus I have someone on my friends list with a gamerscore of 161,490 which is probably in the top 5% world wide.

Oh, youll be shitting all over my Gamerscore of 39,315 but its always fun to point out to kowenicki that I have more than him

Currently I'm sitting at 63435 gamerscore.  Expect that to be 70,000 by the time The one lauches.

Please nobody kill me for being in here.

I just want you all to know that, despite my constant criticisms of Xbone and Microsoft, I actually really DO want an Xbox One. I mean, I'm not willing to pay what microsoft is demanding of me to get the most out of the system, I hate Kinect with a passion, and the launch doesn't look that good, but I honestly do believe that in a year or two, it'll recover and be as good as the Xbox 360. Kinda like how the PS3 started terribly but ended up ahead.

Right now, though, I'm still happy with my PS4U combo. I have a WiiU set up next to me (even though I don't really play it that much due to lack of software), and I have a PS4 on pre-order, and I think that'll do me.

I really do want more reasons to get a One, because as a game reviewer I think it's important to be impartial and keep your options open (I have every gaming console currently on the market and I intend to keep it that way), but right now, this is how I see it:

1 - PS4 is cheaper (I don't make a tonne of money, this is a huge factor)
2 - the PS4 controller is cheaper when you factor in the lack of a need for battery packs
3 - The PS4 interfaces with my Vita (be nice to give that system more use)
4 - the PS4 is more powerful (So in theory, multiplats will be better on it rather than last gen)
5 - PS4 has inFamous and Killzone.
6 - PS4 has the option to get the PSEye as opposed to it being forced
7 - I've already got PS+ paid off till October 2014

Even as a professional I can't see any reasons to get an Xbox One right now. Unless you really like Kinect and/or halo or Forza, it kinda just plain isn't as good. Right now, it boils down to this:

If I get a PS4, it'll cost me 460 bucks with the eye.

If I get an Xbox One, it'll cost me 500 for the system, 20 for a battery pack for the controller, and 60/year for Xbox Live Gold.

with taxes, that's like almost 200 dollars of a difference for a system that, as I said, just isn't as powerful. the exclusives aren't enough to make up for that difference, and unlike last generation, the multiplats won't be better on the Microsoft console.

Ah crap, maybe I shouldn't have posted on here. now I'm just feeling all negative again.

Honestly, guys! I do want one, I just can't afford one and I can't justify the expenses!

Are you the guy with 300k+ gamescore?

what?  No.  I never did care about gamerscore. I'm a "play it, enjoy it, move on" kinda guy.  always have been.

I think theres a difference between "More appealing" and "Less unappealing."  an argument of semantics, I suppose, but not sucking is slightly different from being good.
