Per the articel from examiner.com:

Microsoft just recently announced that everyone who pre-ordered an Xbox One in Europe would be getting a free copy of FIFA 14 when the console launches this fall. When that was announced at Gamescom, many began to speculate what the rest of the world would be received. For all of those folks, we have some tough news today as Larry Hyrb, also known as Major Nelson, has confirmed today that Microsoft has no additional plans to include a free title with pre-orders outside of Europe.

"Are there any plans for preorder bonuses (like FIFA 14 in EU) in other regions," a user on Reddit asked him. Hyrb responded simply saying, "There is not."

It's really unfortunate news for those in North America looking for something to close the value differential between the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. But lets not get too up in arms, countries outside of the United States are often shafted when it comes to console and video game releases. Or has everyone already forgotten the countries that found out they wouldn't be able to get a One until 2014?

They dont need one for America, because they will still be competing somewhat.

Europe was gonna be/will be an easy PS win.

EU needs help more than NA.

People in Europe always complain about USA and Japan being preferred in terms of console releases.
Finaly we became the preferred masterrace.

Though I think too low preorders were the reason and the fact that in Europe the xbox is still more expensive with the free game than in the usa when you buy xbox and fifa seperately if you compare dollar to euro.

You know, that kind of sucks.

Think about it. Microsoft is saying to gamers in North America, "hey, we don't have to do anything special for you, we know you'll buy our product regardless. Go pre-order and shut up." This should be the new definition for the phrase, "taking for granted."
