I think the difference between the two next gen games in the middle and the other two is pretty big.

Well if you ask me most next gen games look already like crap now,

It is more about the experience, people who played BF3 on PS3/Xbox 360 with max 24 players online and now will play BF4 on PS4/Xbox one with 64 players will feel the difference.

Off the line no, but a couple years from now the consoles will look great. But PC already now looks much better.

It will show up in a cumulative effect. If you look at all of the different aspects that people mention in the responses above, they all add up to incremental improvements. The difference is that it isn't just 1 thing that is better. Better multi-player (quantities), better xplosions, better graphics, bigger worlds, etc.... The cumulative effect is what we're going to get an overall better gaming experience.

I look at Crysis 3 on the PS3. Then I look at Crisis 3 on the PC. Then I laugh. In other words, no. No it won't be. Not even remotely. Unless you think anything can look "much" better than Crysis 3 PC right now. They are literally scanning real skin as textures now. It literally CAN'T get better. Lol, maybe bigger world. Maybe better particle effects, frame rates, and resolutions. But will the overall graphics be "much" better than the best we're seeing now? Not even remotely.

It depends on what you expect. Do you want less jaggies? Out. Do you want every game 1080p60? Out. Do you expcect pc-level IQ? Out. Do we get better res than current gen? In. Do you want better poly-models? In. Do you want better IQ than current gen? In. Do you want more open worlds with way more stuff going on? In.
