Because then the wii/ds hasn't expanded the market they have only shifted the maret to new players while losing old ones.

well consider that alot of people had to buy more then 1 ps2
and ds has already secured 1 region that it will pass it now 2 more to go

Well it doesnt work like that; The PS3 and 360 are likely to have much higher sales than the original xbox and gamecube meaning if the wii reaches even near ps2 levels it'll have expanded the market. It all depends on the units sold in proportion to the percentage market share held.
