What is a FIFA Partnership?
Sony has signed a global partnership program contract with FIFA making it a “FIFA Partner,”
the highest level of FIFA sponsorship, for eight years, until 2014. Sony is the first FIFA
Partner ever in the new “Digital Life” category, established exclusively for Sony, which covers
a wide range of business activities, from electronics to entertainment, encompassing
electronics, games, mobile phones, music and movies, among others. During the period of
the Zcontract, Sony will be able to engage in a variety of promotional activities for its
electronics, entertainment, game and other businesses at the world’s greatest soccer event,
the FIFA World Cup™, in 2010 (South Africa) and in 2014 (location to be decided), as well
as at more than 50 other FIFA tournaments.

yeah what I said.... which still doesn't encompass anything related to the UEFA.... so no champions league... the 50 other tournaments are all the things like U18, U21 etc... friendlies, women football etc... and different international cups and all.... euro cup, CL, sponsorships are all handled directly by the UEFA not by the FIFA..... now I'm not saying they haven't worked out a deal with UEFA too.... but if it's only with the FIFa it doesn't have the european major tournament included...

no we mean 499 XB1 with kinect and fifa 14 will be cheaper than 399 PS4 with 69 FIFA 14 with PS4 camera 59 and move wand 29
499 is definately < than 556
you know apples to apples.....
or else I could say XB360 + FIFA is cheaper if we can compare oranges to apples....
unless MS makes it a yearly thing then no; it will give a boost no doubt but it won't have a big enough effect seeing that basically half of Europe will have to wait until next year, and that Fifa 14 will be obsolete when Fifa 15 will drops later that year.
and I think it's still cheaper to get a PS4 and buy Fifa

For what its worth, "PlayStation" was around the ground at the recent qualifier between Celtic and Shaktar.
Isnt the sponsorship likely to run through Seasons, rather than just end at a certain point mid-way through the Season?
Xbox360 did fairly well in Europe because it was always cheaper than PS3 and was released 16 months prior to PS3 in Europe. But I don't really think that Xboxone has a chance of outselling PS4 in that continent because PS4 is cheaper than Xboxone and there is no PS4 delay across Europe.
is MS doing this? I dont see a link in the OP can someone post it? Wont do much for reasons that people have already listed. ANd is the bundle the same price or is it more expensive? is it even real?

Lol more bad luck for Microsoft then because Sony is still an official partner of UEFA until 2015.
UEFA has extended its sponsorship agreement with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) and its PlayStation brand for the UEFA Champions League, seasons 2012 to 2015, and for the UEFA Super Cup in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
