Some people have asked me what my "plan" is to get this funded and honestly it's quite simple.

This project needs $90,000 to succeed. And that may seem like a lot but really it's 3600 people donating $25 to help this be funded.

What that gets you (as a reward for donating that amount) is a digital copy of the movie, a digital copy of the soundtrack (all songs are original and are made by both Metroid fans who wanted to contribute to this and professional composers), and you'll get a shoutout on Twitter and your name added to a list of people on Facebook who helped contribute to this project.

So in all honesty that's pretty much worth $25 in my opinion. And of course if you donate more you get cooler prizes like posters, behind the scenes access on your copy of the movie, you could get to visit the set and meet the cast and crew, and if you're somehow rich you can get one of the two power suits that'll be made for the movie. Check out the Kickstarter page for info on all rewards.

But for people who don't have a lot to give, you honestly get a lot for donating $25. Every little bit counts in something like this. So please donate and spread the word to your friends and ask them to help out as well.

Oh and in case you were wondering I donated $100 to this project. It's because I believe in it and want to help all I can. That and I really wanted a poster of this to hang on my wall. It'll go great next to my SHAZAM! Poster.

In case you didn't know, I have a comic book called Guardians. I'm the writer/creator of it, and we have four issues out right now, with our fifth coming out soon!

We're also doing a Patreon right now for the comic, and I'd appreciate any and all help in getting it funded. If 56 people pledged $3 per issue, we'll be funded

It do look like this could be something, but a ten minute film will just be a tease.

25$ for a ten minute film? Seems a bit steep.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Pigpen: That could be true. But think about it like this. The recent Mortal Kombat reboot did an 11 minute short to kickstart (no pun intended) everything. It was cut into two parts that interwove, one: an interrogation scene between Jax, Sonia Blade, and Scorpion stating what was going on. Two: short clips of some other MK characters fighting and showing who they were like Johnny Cage, Baraka, and Reptile. To my knowledge there was only one major fight in that entire movie but we all loved it.

This would be a condensed story per se but with 10 minutes they could get it all in, have some epic fight scenes, and leave us all satisfied.

In the interview they did Christian Cardona (director, writer, VFX specialist) said that if they went over their $90,000 goal they would have the option of expanding the movie beyond 10 minutes cause they did cut out some scenes. And he said if people liked it they could do a sequel.......

So if we do our part, donate and spread the word, maybe we'll get a bigger movie. Either way I think it'll rock.

FusionCodez: Maybe on the surface. True we pay $15 for a movie (if it's not on sale) and the same for a cd (if people still buy those) so together that's more than the donation but you also get "more" for your payment.

But this isn't just about the reward, it's about what you're doing with it. You're helping people who simply want to make a movie about a franchise they adore. And helping them do it right. They want to put all their knowledge (which is not insubstantial) of movie making together to make this an epic movie. They're making the Power Suit for Samus, for real. The villain Sylux is getting his own suit, they're building a MASSIVE set to stag this in, they're using the best VFX they can to make this look like a AAA Blockbuster.

So yeah $25 may seem a little steep on the outside, but what you're going to get in return both in rewards and movie quality I think it makes up for it.

I would back this up on Kickstarter if Nintendo approved it... But so far, no word from Nintendo at all so if I back this up and Nintendo's lovely legal team sends a C&D, I would probably lose my money or lose my hope so no thanks... If Nintendo approves this however, I shall put my money on it. There have been a few kickstarters where the developer have ran away with the money when shit hit the fan so... I will wait a bit longer

Jizz: Your concern is valid to a degree. You are not charged for your donation until the project succeeds. They will simply put a note of it on your card and then IF the project succeeds they'll charge you, if not nothing happens.

As I say in the blog I wrote we can't live in fear of Nintendo. They may approve it, or they may not. They could shut this down, or they may not. It's been close to two weeks since launch and no action has come from Nintendo yet.

And as for losing your hope that's hard to do if you truly believe in something. Having hope means you wish with all you got that this works. I'm hoping with all my heart and soul that people will make this work, and if for some reason it doesn't succeed yeah I'll feel bad but I'll know that I did everything I could to help make this work.

If you want to wait a while longer then fine, that's your call to make. But don't lose hope and faith over what hasn't happened yet. And don't wait and fear for something that might not happen.

If you want to help but don't want to donate yet then please just spread the word. That would do wonders for this project.

The FFVII fan movie died and so will this.

R.I.P. Fan movies.

But Basil it hasn't yet. it's still up right now. And as I say in my blog (link in my signature) we can't live in fear of what Nintendo MIGHT do. That FFVII movie died in 3 days, it's been almost 15 for this.

This is a rare chance for us fans to help out other fans make their dreams come true. This can happen if we band together to allow it, not Nintendo, us.
