Are you kidding me? Dude...both Sony and Microsoft will be using the cloud. Microsoft is the only one who is hyping it. PC has had dedicated servers for the longest. Again...don't fall for the hype.


So, you assume automatically :

 

- Sony to provide dedicated servers for CoD when they are only announced for Xbox One

- That people might believe you

 

IMO it's one or the other. Both assumptions togoether are... dellusional lol

agreed but MS has the second biggest server park in the world and the Azure/orlean combo is also one of the best server management system you can hope for, for game servers.... no matter how hard Dev stand alone servers and Sony will try... there is absolutely no way they will reach the QoS potential of MS..... cloud infrastructures is MS new windows business equivalent..... once again they have invested more money in cloud infrastructures over the past decade than most company can afford....  No Sony will not have the same level of cloud presence and quality.... it is a technical impossibility....

but yeah COD will get more than likely servers for other platforms too.... but while there are good chances dedicated server space (and not servers since azure/orlean doesn't require to dedicate server per say, it allocates server in real time) will become standard on XB1 it probably won't be the case on other platforms

If you read what i wrote earlier...you can easily see that I had just received word that it was just preorders and my expection of payment was then changed to be  way lower. I am cutting down this quote tree before we both get into trouble. 

even if it was packed in with every european console sold during the launch window.... to justify a 1billion investment... hte bundle should sell over 25million units..... I didn't know you expected the XB1 to be that successful at launch :D

I am just putting out a warning, you don't have to believe me. I remember people saying the Xbox 360 had dedicated servers on Xbox Live and that was the deciding factor as to why COD was superior in the xbox 360. It was sooooooooo not true. There is absolutely nothing delusional about being cautious and promoting caution. I am just saying dedicated servers wont be exclusive.

I am thinking MS preps at least two million launch consoles spread all over Europe.

Every Xbox One console will come with FIFA 14? Or just European Xbox One consoles. BTW that's pretty significant.
