Are you kidding me? Dude...both Sony and Microsoft will be using the cloud. Microsoft is the only one who is hyping it. PC has had dedicated servers for the longest. Again...don't fall for the hype.


agreed but MS has the second biggest server park in the world and the Azure/orlean combo is also one of the best server management system you can hope for, for game servers.... no matter how hard Dev stand alone servers and Sony will try... there is absolutely no way they will reach the QoS potential of MS..... cloud infrastructures is MS new windows business equivalent..... once again they have invested more money in cloud infrastructures over the past decade than most company can afford....  No Sony will not have the same level of cloud presence and quality.... it is a technical impossibility....

but yeah COD will get more than likely servers for other platforms too.... but while there are good chances dedicated server space (and not servers since azure/orlean doesn't require to dedicate server per say, it allocates server in real time) will become standard on XB1 it probably won't be the case on other platforms
