No one thought this game would be a system seller.

Scrounge the dregs of the internet and you'll find plenty of folks who claim to have thought just that!

Well the title is  prominently shown on the "Things that will save the Wii U" chaulk board, so you dont have to look far.

Which is made by people who hate the Wii U in an attempt to mock the system and rejoice in its struggles.

Actually I am sure its made by Wii U supporters because they have left off key titles such as Game and Wario and various third party games...goes with the whole nintendo fans having good taste and all.

Okay, my sarcasm detector is useless even in real life, so I can't tell if you're kidding.

But seriously, they whole "chalkboard" pic has it's origins in the early days of the PS3, where it was used to mock fans for claiming games would save the system which didn't. It's now been rejigged to mock the Wii U in a similar fashion. It's a troll pic since its inception.

So this game is gonna be another Kid Icarus in terms of reviews huh? No matter, I enjoy the hell out of KI, controls never really bothered me. Judging by the demo this game will take time to get use to, but i'm sure it won't bother me.

Its probably going to sit on average between 7.5-8. I watched the review and Keza sounded like she/he wanted to throw the controller on the floor. She tends to be very critical and look at all the finer points.

Keza's (from IGN) biggest issues with the game was that the games story wasn't really that great. The controls were also infuriating. The madness is also sometimes too much for the controls. The game doesnt give progressive training for the characters not explain anything (which she said is a notorious Platinum Games problem). She said its a good looking game though, playing off of Power Rangers tropes and the Boss battles are pretty damn cool.

Personally, when I get my Wii U i think i'll pick this up bargain bin. It should be pretty cheap next year when I get my U.

Isn't this around how platinum games are received anyways? Aside from bayonetta?

Moreso if you extend back to their Clover days. God Hand, anyone?

Okami certainly had its share of control complaints too.

hmm GameInformer gave it a 9/10.

A great game that the Wii U makes worse. Sounds legit.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

Game has a 78 on Metacritic.

Why not make this a review thread? Dumping that one low review here which doesn't match up with the text seems a bit off to me.

For my money, they accidentally switched the scores for Disney Infinity and W101. Or something

But in honesty, the demo showed me that the controls were solid, though another option would be nice I agree for some. The score doesn't seem to match up, though. All the way down I was thinking "8.5, 8.5..." But it was far from that. It's why we have multiple sources for reviews and demos, though. Allows us to make our own choice about a game as opposed to attacking a reviewer.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
