No, just tired of this.  I hate this whole, massive butt-hurt thing with Nintendo fanboys if you say the slightest thing negative about Mario, then you have to deal those rushing to attack, like you with this meaningless post which adds nothing at all to the discussion.  I know I'm not going to win against a whole hord of you because it will never end.  So you want to come in at the tail end to keep the fight going?  And you think that's mature?  Hah.

When you say ridiculous crap like "new IPs don't sell hardware", you have to expect to be called out on it.

You know, I was wrong about that, and normally I would have responded to his post and said so but instead of simply saying I was wrong and explaining why, he decided to be an ass.  Why, when I hadn't even said anything to him?  I can only assume he was angry with me for being mean to Mario, too.

What about you?  What's your reason?

Who got offended, though? All I see is people disagreeing with your points and you getting worked up.

And you are aware that calling people "fanboys" (which you just admitted you did) is not permitted on this site, aren't you?

Who did I call a fanboy?

Honestly, I was drawn to Nintendo when my mom accidentally bought me a Gamecube instead of a Playstation 2 (this was when I was alot younger). My Gamecube came with Mario Kart Double Dash, so I got hooked. However, that was not the BIGGEST reason I became a NIntendo fan. The biggest reason was because of Metroid Prime. That game was incredible, and still stands as my favourite game of all time, to this day!

I did own an NES before the Gamecube, but that was not the reason I became a fan.

Sorry, but I didn't call anyone a fanboy.  I spoke in general terms.  I could have been talking about anyone, even on another forum.  I've seen plenty of people talk about fanboys in general without getting banned, as no direct insult is given.

Okay, re-reading it you did't literally call him one.

But if you're not referring to anyone here as the "fanboys" who get "butthurt" when Mario is talked about negatively, then why did you get so worked up in your posts here and start ranting about them?

Because I dared to say that the NES would have been huge without Mario, I was going to have to fight all night with people who didn't like that.  So I gave up, which seemed to make even more people angry.  I've had enough of getting into fights with a gang of Nintendo fans when I feel like I didn't even say anything bad in the first place.  It's a bit silly and more than a bit annoying.  So, yeah, I'm going to try to avoid being honest about Nintendo from now on.  It's just not worth the trouble.
