Forza wins. DriveClub is doing way more real time stuff that technically is better, but who cares what the numbers say. It was smart for Forza to bake and fake a lot of things. Looks amazing!

Digital Foundry

Sony's press shots for DriveClub look pretty cool, but despite some neat features such as proper vehicle deformation and some beautiful lighting, the low quality, blurry textures looked a world apart from what Forza 5 was achieving running at twice the frame-rate.

Hey, that's not really fair!  Not fair to point out FACTS that they haven't yet been able to match the frame rate with "a 50% more powerful console."  Nobody is supposed to be talking about that yet, well, not till all the per-orders are finalized.

Are you trying to imply that looking at one aspect of hardware with a myopic bias way is not the be all and end all?  Could be that a major software company has some software tricks up their sleeves that could change the results some people have been attempting to artificially enforce on everyone?

Next you might even point out that some Kinect features - might actually be fun, useful, and revolutionary.  Or that the new 'home console' versions of Xbox Live Gold might actually save families money and allow more people to enjoy gaming.

Could the trolls possibly be wrong?  Is their fool hardy arrogance and belligerence misguided?

You Sir, make an excellent point. A dangerous one, especially in the wrong hands, but an excellent one.  I salute you with respect.

Tune in this fall to find out the exciting outcome of the new Console Wars!

It's not the consoles problem. The developer (Evolution) doesn't have as big of a team as Turn 10 and most likely has a smaller budget considering it's a new IP whereas Forza is an established franchise.

Using your logic the PS3 is more powerful than the PS4 since GT6 runs at 60 FPS and Drive Club at 30.

Oh dear, optimization within a process is hard.  Don't stress, it's a challenge, but don't worry, people are working hard to tweak the Operating System and Game Engines to get better results.  The processes running underneath and their abilities to reduce redundancy and increase productivity are as much in some ways an art as they are science.

And that mean'ol Microsoft, putting more developers to work to achieve their more ambitious goals.  And that underlining software, like DirectX, they have been refining for years, that they use to increase all games using their system.

It just doesn't seem fair sometimes.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Now you are just rubbing it in, even-though we have seen demonstrated cloud rendered graphics will work fine a latency levels that render Gahki completely non operational.  You take away one of our most cherished slams with reality.  It's a cold sword of words with which you cut.  An a expected feature that is more sensitive to issue often use to slam the Xbox's claims.  Will take away virtually all we have to slam?

You sir are a master.  A master which leaves many investor in hand wringing worry.  Leaving arguments that break into dust like a staked vampire.

Hmm this might sound like an amateur question but what is baked lighting?

"Baked" means it's precalculated. The engine doesn't have to consider multiple *changing* light-sources. If the light sources are always the same you know how the rays will be. BUT: Don't get confused with DC-lighting being dynamic. Everything you see in games is a very simplified projection of how the world really is and in some way every lighting we see is pre-baked, otherwise you would need way more computing power.

Team size has nothing to do with quality. Look at shinen or how they are called developing on WiiU! Especially big teams don't guarantee better results.

All the comparitive points in your post are factually incorrect in favour of xbone

Here is a factual comparison
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=638808

Some of the more relevant bits:

Actually there is one thing missing there, the Xbox One has an Ethernet port and the PS4 doesn't. It's definitely not a deal breaker but i would have liked a Ethernet port on the PS4 aswell just in case.

You are not oftern right but you are wrong again, PS4 has ethernet. No self respecting online gamer uses wifi. Go the back of the class and do not pass go.
