Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One will include TWO AA batteries!

I think they should have included rechargeable controllers in the box.

I hate controller that take batteries. Especially when you don't use them for ages, go to play something and find the batteries have died.

Personnaly, I'm actually VERY glad MS did not go the PS way about that.

I HATE when I need to find that stupid USB cable (and a long enough one...) to be able to play anything on my PS3. Hopefuly I'm using it only for Bluray but still, very frustrating some time. Having the option is so conveniant for me, with 3 kids playing on 3 differents consoles with a lot of controllers!

On the other hand, MS is pricing the charge kit a bit too high for those like you who dislike batterie  (also for good reason :)).

Very long I would say. I do not have the exact amount of time; but if I play few hours per day; we are talking about at least 2 weeks.

love it when things get blown up just to hate on a console...

here $8.99 and you are basically set for a generation. Problem solved.

Oh yeah? Well how do you plan on fixing that ugly power brick? Just knowing that there's a brick behind my TV that I can't even see totally drives me crazy. Fuck Xbox One!

Yeah, that will totally ruin my living room!!!!

Imagine this ugly power brick would be right there... totally ruined the whole picture!

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I heard from a reliable anonymous source that they are about to upgrade to 3 AA Batteries.

Don't forget that they are high capacity batteries, which are on average 6% better than regular batteries.

(4 rumble motors ermagerd)

OT: So wait, How do you forget to mention something in an unboxing when you are literally giving a list of everything found in the box AS YOU UNBOX IT?

Where they hidden somewhere he couldn't see?

lol yah I was wondering the same thing haha

He unboxed everything... But forgot the 2 batteries... weird

Not going for a built in battery for console controllers in this day and age is kinda backward. But investing in a battery charger+a couple of rechargeable batteries to go with it isn't a wasted affair.

I prefer my controllers to have built-in batteries, but since I already have quite a few rechargeable batteries, I always make sure I charge a set when I have to switch them. So I always have a fully charged set at the ready when my controller dies.

In essence, this is a non issue if you already have a battery charger. But at the same time, it's Microsoft still making sure they can make people spend ever more money on peripherals (the charger pack and cord) that should be bundled with the console in the first place.

I can't believe they went with AA's. I would be way more attracted to the XBOne if it had DD's.

I use batteries on my 360 and I buy a bulk pack of Duracell's every now and then and it works fine.  However, my Wii U has the rechargable controllers and I have to say it's waaayyy better.  They last a very long dime per charge - 50+ hours - and include a long cord so that you can charge and play if need be.  I have two controllers so I charge one while using the other.  I've put in 100's of hours on COD and only had to swap controllers like 3 or 4 times.  I don't really consider it a system-seller either way, but never having to remember to buy batteries is a nice advancement.
