Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
I never understand how a retail gaming store could be allowed to sell games at higher prices just because of what its going for online. Just take my local Gamestop for an example ,they have a small section of PS2 games that i hear them complain about wanting to get rid of to make room for other stuff yet they charging $30 for some of them!
Yes i know that's what some of them go for on Ebay but for something your trying to phase out why charge Ebay prices?

Awesome game + crap distribution + fewer printed than demanded = crazy price inflation.
The Wii has tons of titles like this for some reason. I blame retailers.

NoA didn't think it would sell very well. Judging by the retail exclusivity, I suspect most of NoA's retail partners agreed.

You should purchase this game for $89 and be glad you were given the privilege to do so.

Their factories are far too busy printing newer games to do this.

Is that why Nintendo greenlit the sequel on Wii U and featured it in a Nintendo Direct earlier this year?
OT: I wish they'd just throw it and other high-demand games like Fire Emblem: RD and the Metroid Prime Trilogy in the eShop soon.

Do you really believe this? Unless of all of their disc pressing is in Japan, it shouldn't even be a issue to print another 25-30k copies. There's clear demand for it.
