I don't really see why he's so upset. It's not like they've canned a popular series and replaced it with downloadable mobile garbage, like Capcom did with Mega Man. They're just making a quick spin-off for a quick buck in addition to the console game.

Here's the problem with PSA, at least in MY opinion. Playstation to me, it's a brand. When I think of Playstation, I think of the logo, dual shock controller, amazing third party support and I think of core gaming in general. I DON'T think about specific mascots because there has been so many that have come and gone. Crash, Jak, Spyro, FF,SH, Gabe, Snake, Sly, they have had so many exclusive AAA games since the mid 90's that have either died or lost exclusivity that there was never a foundation laid. This is why it didn't take imo and why Smash Bros did.

When Smash FIRST launched on the N64, everyone wanted to play it because the idea of playing as Mario and punching someone in the face was a cool idea. But you need a Mario or Donkey Kong like character to pull that off and Sony doesn't really have that.
