To be completely honest though, absolutely none of us care about achievements to any level. So at least for us, even if some massive fumble took place and they were all wiped, we simply wouldn't care, heh heh.

Do you know something that I don't? Because every Xbox Live account has achievements that do not disappear when they go off the family plan. Everything stays the same for that account except that the account is not on the family plan anymore. Your achievements do not disappear, nothing does (unless they made a radical change in the last few days).

Umm, what I mean is that if you have an account with achievements, unless you pay to keep the profile going, you lose access to your profile until you renew. I think what I'm saying is pretty clear. Semantically, I can understanding a miscommunication, but it's pretty cut and dry.

Say for example, two brothers are on the family plan. They both play and have achievements. Now, they will either need to pay for two accounts to keep their profile and achievements, or lose access to one of them.

They won't lose access, they just won't be able to play online (or use other Gold features) unless they pay to do so. If they don't pay for one of those said accounts, they will simply be reverted to XBL Silver. Everything else stays the same.

yah this was expected...

It is really a shame that Microsoft killed their original family plan and the all digital ideas.

I was so looking forward for this, having 3 Xbox at home with my kids playing them; it is a pain in the ass to have them scratching and destroying my game discs and/or required to play on my account while playing on their console... At the same time I understand that the majority does not have multiple consoles, so the new "Home Gold" options are still very good.

it doesn't work that way. it would convert to a silver account that still has the acheivements. why would it do anything else? You dont have to continuously have Gold to keep your acheivements. If you stop paying for gold you simply get converted to a silver account, which still has all your info and acheivements. Unless you are talking abut something else.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

If you are playing on a 360. Do we have silver confirmation for xb1? Or multiple accounts?
