I can only guess that they're thinking it from the Xbox One side, where it will work as the PS3 does currently; not looking at it from the 360 (and plan to stay 360 at least for a good while) side.

They're seperate accounts, so it would be no issue. The account that made the Family Plan purchase is the Primary Family Pack account, and then you could add accounts as Secondary accounts that would receive Gold Live priveledges. But they were still seperate accounts.

Only the Primary account can add payment details. We can give Secondary accounts Microsoft Points allowances, though. Secondary Accounts can not add payment options (credit cards, etc.) but they can redeem their own Microsoft Points cards.

You can set the Family Pack to auto renew, yes. We don't though. Or, well, it won't matter now. We'll see what they set the options to when they convert it.

still the question about achievements is out there. I'm guessing that part is true.

its clear that we have been talking about 360, unless the person didnt read the damn thing. as for one thats fine. but they are just shifting the policy of 360 to One my question is why? the only answer is to get 360 owners to go to ONe that much sooner.

? Like I said, they're seperate accounts so it's a non issue. Each one has their own seperate achievements. Unless I misunderstood the question about it?

To be completely honest though, absolutely none of us care about achievements to any level. So at least for us, even if some massive fumble took place and they were all wiped, we simply wouldn't care, heh heh.

i dont feel anything, because you clearly didn read it, how about read the article then say something worthwhile. I also have Ninty consoles so their is no community over here.

You guys are seeing it only from an XBox One perspective. Home Gold is a touted feature of the Xbox One. Current users of the Family Plan will now need to pay for each account individually if they choose not to upgrade to the One. My family plan, for example, expires in 2 months and we have 4 accounts. Come 5 months from now, we will need to renew 4 accounts seperately since we have no plans to upgrade.

Most current gen console owners will not be upgrading to next gen consoles soon, unless you believe the X1 is going to have 35+ million sales within the first year.

It's not a "CURSE YOU MICROSOFT AND YOUR SPAWN!" moment, but it still sucks as we will now be paying more for the same.

You could just renew ur family plan before this expires then u get at most a year and 5 months of live

Heh, yeah I thought of that. But I followed MonstaMack's link and checked around. I genuinely did not notice, but they stopped letting people purchase or renew the plan back in March. Ah well, it is what it is.

Will deal with it when it expires, and figure it out if we'll just cancel it all then and there or see who wants to continue it.

Microsoft: Screw over 360 owners to give them an additional incentive to upgrade.
Sony: Screw over PS4 owners to give people an additional incentive to stay with their PS3.
Nintendo: Screw over everyone for only god knows what reason.

your automatic assumption that he is a playstation fan amuses me greatly and is very telling of your mindset.

As is your failure to comprehend the basics of what this thread highlights for people intending to stick with their xbox 360.
