The Wiimote was familiar but Motion Plus hadn't been used much in a traditional genre. |
Motion Plus was just an upgrade to the Wii mote, it didn't supply a "new" experience outside of being better refined. That would be like saying [insert game name] is innovative because it has better graphics than the last.

Can't do Skyward Sword's swordplay with a standard Wiimote though, the precision is on another level. And gameplay is infinitely more important than graphics.

Yeah, because it's still the best console out of the bunch. Doesn't make it good though. |
if you say so

Thinking that a game requiring more precision is innovation is an insult to the great things the series has done in the past. And yes gameplay is more important, but graphics are also a key aspect in gaming.

It's not just more precision; it's the difference between just shaking your hand and the sword accurately following the player's own movements. That's a paradigm shift, beyond anything the series had done since Ocarina.
Skyward is by far the most revolutionary Zelda ever...thats why ppl h8 it...ppl just want secuels

Yeeeaaah, I’m going to leave this discussion on that line. I find that statement laughable, so alas we shall have to keep to our own opinions on the matter.
You must think the Kinect was the biggest revolution in gaming history P:

Nah, Kinect is a dud, it's too limited by its lack of buttons in my view.
The problem is that the company doesn't doesn't give the fans what they want. Look at paper mario for example. He gave Miyamoto too much freedom. The fans wanted a game similar to the N64/Gamecube game and look what we got. A game undeserving of the Paper Mario name. Miyamoto on the other hand thought it was too much like the gamecube version and ruined a perfectly good game series. I like the Wii-U don't get me wrong, but I wish it had a little more power. The fans want to be able to buy just one console. More people would have bought a Wii-U had it been more powerful. I bet its success would be much higher if it had the power of the PS4/Xbox One.
