DS was easily the better system with a much stronger library, but I spent so much more time on PSP. Just not actually playing PSP games. GBA, NES, SNES, Genesis, and PS1 games all on one handheld. Such a beauty.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I still have my DS phat. I was always excited for the thing, even when the negativity maxed.
"Imagine a Pikmin game on this!"
Will the Pikmin be the size of a pixel?

Did someone say Iphone ? =p

the PSP was actually a better machine but due to its media format/price it lost out heavily to the DS
the DS was more family friendly and literally could be sold like a toy, it was a genius product
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
I didn't like the DS at first either. Actually it wasn't until the 3DS I came back. Mainly because by the time I got around to upgrading from my SP the 3DS was out.
In retrospect: Both are worth owning and the PSP has a very nice lselection games...but the DS´s library is hands down superior (and if you go the unfair route of including the GBA backwards compatibility...the DS´s library is even more impressive)
I remember how people were saying the DS was a crazy gimmick and that the PSP would "Playstation" the Gameboy. Funny how things turn out.
Lol I just rewatched E3 2004, it's funny, Nintendo kinda treated the PSP as a rival to the freaking GBA! And what's even more hilarious is that the GBA still beat the PSP's sales! XD they also hyped the DS as if it was in a league of it's own, and it was, it reached PS2 level success.
Well, I own both systems (PSP and DS) and although the DS was selling better I liked my PSP much more. I don't like that stylus and I don't need the second screen and most games in my favourite genres simply do not need these features. There were games like Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton that were well suited for the stylus... But in games like Final Fantasy III I found playing with the stylus so bad that I used the normal controls instead.
The PSP had the better Graphics and games like Kingdom Hearts: Birth by sleep or FF7 Crisis Core were simply amazing.
That is somehow my problem with Nintendo. I like Nintendo and I grew up with Nintendo, but I do not like their "innovative Control devices". Most gamers never had any problems with learning how to handle a normal controller. I don't need touch controls, 3D Graphics, or a second screen via DS or Tablet Controller. For me, the games are what really matters, not HOW I control the game.
