@bolded you tell us that no one but nintendo (and devs) know about the precise specfications of Wiiu's GPU and then proceed to say with great confidence that (even though you dont know as well) its not far off from what is inside PS4/X1. Mind telling me the logic in that? Assuming you are not a dev of course, you are making baseless assumptions (ie wishfull thinking).

the funny thing is we are in a thread where we have an actual dev pretty much saying its a hardware issue and what do some of the fans say? They are lying and they are lazy, so at the end of the day it doesnt really make sense to even discuss. On one hand they will say only Ninty and the devs know what WIi U is capable of, then we have Ninty making games that arent exactly melting eyeballs right now and some devs saying the WIi U is not up to snuff. and then they say the devs be lying.

and then we have devs who say and PROVE otherwise.

I'm pretty sure ubisoft is waiting for the performance of AC4 and watch dogs on wii u before announcing other games. watch dogs took 8 months to be confirmed on wii u, I can't see why the same won't happen with The division.

PS: X is in a whole different league of  "open world". you can't really compare those landscapes with those "small" city enviroments.

tbh i don't really care either way about this issue but uh... seriously?

GTA 5 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-xHcvug3WI

X : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6Q4ld4uqcY

does anyone who isn't a nintendo fan really think X looks better than gta 5?

especially when you consider that the world of gta 5 will be far far far more interactive? and filled with far far far more content?

Doesn't really matter. We don't know enough about X to compare the two (for all we know, it could be a significantly larger game then GTAV), and even then, X was made on a fraction of GTA's budget and with a much shorter development span. I'd say it would be more logical to compare X with other open-world RPGs, which save for the upcoming Witcher 3, don't quite measure up on many levels.

I agree with BEthesda, I don't want my next gen games getting ruined because of the limited Wii u capabilities!

I guess your PC is very powerful. Don't worry, even if Wii U was the lowest standard for next-gen games, PC games would already look a lot better thanks to it supporting DX11 features and being more powerful than 360/PS3.

you're comparing GTA V, which has been in development for several years, and it's coming out at the end of the consoles' life cycle where their potential has been realized, and has a huge budget, to a game that has been developed for a little more than a year and is coming out at the beginning of a console's life cycle where the console's full power is still far from realization, and is on a significantly smaller budget.

and judging by the scale of Xenoblade 1, it's pretty safe to assume that this game will definately be big and interactive, and who knows? maybe it'll be bigger than GTA despite the limited sources i listed above, we still don't know much about the game too, and it'll get polished a lot before it's release in 2014 (compare the january trailer and the E3 trailer).

a more fair comparison IMO is GTA IV vs Monolith Soft's X, and X just blows it out of the water, and even then GTA IV probably was developed longer and had a much bigger budget, now imagine a Xenoblade game that has been in development for several years, and comes out at the end of the Wii U's life cycle, with a big budget, imagine how GTA V would look compared to that?

Fine by me considering any bug filled Bethesda game isn't on my radar.

Bethesda games really belong to PC: on it you can buy them later, getting the whole collection of the game and all its main expansions, at dirt cheap prices and, finally, decently debugged and patched. It can make the difference between hating or loving them.

x1/pc/p4 are all x86 therefore they are going to share all multiplats.. that's why Wii U owners should build a pc.

Bethesda does what most other devs dont even ATTEMPT to do, the scale of their games are unmatched by most. But name me these devs and their games, and i mean games that are already out.
