Supposedly an error on their part. It was meant to be $199 just like walmart deal but they are honoring it for those who can find one. The basic version seems to be almost phased out.

We might soon be getting Wii U mini in Canada and i say that based on no empirical evidence.

Wii-U Mini? XD

That sounds horrible lol

Hopefully it'll have more flash memory lol.

Thing is, flash memory is kinda expensive.

That is a great price but its the damn basic bundle, such small memory ;(

Use the savings to buy a Harddrive, I just saw a 500GB external harddrive at Staples for $45.

Sequel to Wii mini ofcourse. I don't really plan to buy digital content on Wii U other virtual console games from 90's. So even the measely 3 GB free space is alright. If someone is planning to buy quite a bit of digital content then even 32GB deluxe space falls short. External hard drive would be required for anything. I hope they allow SD card storage in Wii U mode as i think you can use those for storage in Wii mode.

I'm planning to get a HDD but it isnt for gaming though, dont want to buy one for gaming :x.

Do USB thumbdrives work and can you backup the data on PC?

I'm pretty sure USB thumbdrives work, idk about backing up data on PC.

Question though, I know data installation is required for games like on the PS3 (or some games I mean) - can you delete the data once you are done and if you want to, re-install it again (without losing save data ;o?).

Good question but i am not sure yet. You would think it would be possible as it makes sense but with Nintendo you never know. Might have to consult "tbone" on that one haha.

Well I plan to buy all physical on the WiiU since I'm still not too sure about digital purchases on consoles (I'll get a title or two as an exception if I cant find a physical copy though).

Are you talking about disc games needing to be installed?  I'm pretty sure no Wii U disc based games need to be installed...as of right now.

Really? I thought TTT2 needed to be installed o.O

Well if there isnt any WiiU games that need installation, then I have no worries for it on that subject.

Well I'm not 100% sure, so I looked it up, this is all I could find on the subject.  If the games needed to be installed I'm sure I would have been able to find some articles or something on the matter.

If the US had these crazy Canadian Wii U deals I would go out and buy one right this instant. You hear that Target of USA?!

Do it!

If the US had these crazy Canadian Wii U deals you wouldn't be able to go buy one because all the resellers wouldn't have got them long before you the news hit they were $150.  From my experience with the resellers where I live in Florida, they know atleast one person from many of these stores and if you go down there the second you hear the news, they'll still be out of stock.

Before Circuit City stores closed down they used to do some amazing clearance sales.  Unfortunately, either the employees or someone they knew got anything and everything worth something.  One time I was going to go there a couple days early and buy the games I was interested in due to the clearance lists always going up early, then go back and return them the week of the sale and rebuy them at the cheaper price.  They had all the clearance  games on a cart, so I took a bunch I was interested in, went to the counter, they said they weren't able to sell those.  I asked why not and they said thtey were holding them for someone to purchase.  When I took it to the store manager that they were holding items that were going to be clearanced out for someone else to sell, or for them to sell, I got brushed off and still didn't get to purchase the items.  Sale or not, I never stepped in Circuit City again and later on they went bankrupt.

It's like this in most stores around where I live.  Resellers who pull tactics like this are douchebags.
