Didn't it always have two independent motors? Last time I 'broke' one it still had a small wobble wheel on the one side and a bigger one in the other end.

So what's different? Improved stop/start/rpm change response from the motors?

Both have two rumbles but the old both rumbles make the same moviment... now you can control what moviment will do the left and the right.

Eg. The dev can make only the left rumble while the right do nothing

That was already possible, what else is the point of having a small and a big wheel?
I guess it will have better control options, faster response etc. Maybe they could only go at the same speed when both are on, same direction, but I'm sure one could be off while the other was going.

i wanna hold it so bad

Better rumble is good but after I play a game for awhile I forgot it is there. Heck even when I begin I forgot.

That's how it was for me the first time I turned it off. It feels weird cause usually it FPS games everytime you shoot it rumbles so whenever I was shooting it didn't do anything and it felt weird. I got used to it over time though.

What it is is a new tech involving magnets instead of moving rotars. These magnets are smaller, use less energy, and allow them to be placed throughout the internals of a device. I remember reading about this tech a year or two back and its application in a controller yields great results, such as the ones described in this video. There could be another tech, but the magnetic rumble is the only one I know of that fits the description.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

The most improved controller.

To be honest, I was already happy with DS3 rumble, although it is not a very important feature for me, but if it will be better, then great.

I like the idea that Pezus came with, about direction from which you've been shot, though.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

I wonder if this will change rumble in racing games. Or more accurately, racing simulators.

Hummmmm...

I think you need a good force feedack wheel instead any controller

Agree for cars and other 4 or more wheeled vehicle sims, but DS4 could still be great and the best choice for bikes.

That certainly sounds very interesting and could be very cool.
Dual Shock 4 looks like a really good controller and I think I will like it much more than the previous playstation controllers.
