Or do you mean you are you happy with the thought of being able to play the games you have not got yet ? |
I said why I didn't buy any games for it, I said I don't think NSMBU is worth $60 so I'm gonna wait for a price drop, when I went to the store I thoght NSLU was out so I was gonna get that, but only the digital version is out, the physical version is coming out in the end of August, and Pikmin 3 is coming out this sunday, but Tales of Xillia is coming out on tuesday and I already pre-ordered it and I don't want to spend $120+ tax on games plus the $200 I already spent on the Wii U, so Ill probs wait a little bit to pick that up. I did order Batman Arkham City Armored Edition off Amazon for $18, because the game is one of my favorites of this gen and that version comes with all the DLC and some extra content and for only $18 I couldn't pass it up. I have so many games on my backlog I'm in no rush to pick up a bunch of Wii U games, I'm happy with Batman Arkham City for now.

I've had my Wii U since launch. I actually had a kind of "friend drive" to help me buy it, meaning a bunch of friends let me have old games they didn't want anymore to trade in to help pay down the pre-order. Wound up surprisingly paying around half the cost of the deluxe model.
I have been very happy with the console thus far, with two exceptions:
1. I wasn't into Nintendo Land. I've heard some people love it. I did not. I was very disappointed. It simply doesn't, to me, have that same "pick up and play" feel that Wii Sports did and still does. Which is too bad, because the IDEA of a bunch of games based on Nintendo franchises, on paper, seemed awesome.
2. Obviously, the drought of game releases. On the one hand, it hasn't been THAT huge a deal to me, because I haven't exactly had the money to get a lot of games anyway. But on the other hand, I've also had to wait many extra months to finally play Pikmin 3, which at the moment is, and has been, my most anticipated game.
Outside of those two though, I'm very happy with my purchase. With the updates improving the OS experience, which every modern console goes through, and with Pikmin and as for-sure purchases, and Wonderful 101, DKC, and Sonic as solid "Maybes", as well as many eShop titles I'm really looking forward to such as Two Brothers, Shovel Knight, Another Castle, and AVGN Adventures, along with many games slated for next year like Yarn Yoshi, Smash Bros., Mario Kart and Zelda. The prospect of GBA and GC games being on VC is great, and of course the potential for new Star Fox, Wave Race, etc. etc. etc. in the future. Yeah, I'm very happy with the system. The GamePad rocks as a controller, to me, Miiverse is a really nice touch, the all the indie games lining up for eShop makes me really happy. In general, I don't feel like I'll be missing TOO much if Wii U winds up being my only next gen console.
good for you my friend, with pikmin 3, i think you choose the rigth moment to get a wiiu.
34 years playing games.
If you have no real life friends and hate having fun playing videogames, you should absolutely not ever buy New Super Mario bros. U with the Super Luigi U DLC.

I said I'm gonna buy it, I'm just waiting for a price drop, not worth $60 imo.

It's no longer under demos, but right next to it under applications. You basically get the entire demo and extra challenges on top of that. Plus, as far as I can tell, there are no limits to how many times you can boot it up. |
I think he means the demo on in-store kiosks. I don't think Spurge has a Wii U at home....yet.
