I ran into a problem with my Google spreadsheet and you are probably the best guy to ask. I managed to lose one of my custom colors, the red one. Probably happened because I deleted jadakiss1217 from the Standings as that was the only place where the color was used without conditional formating. I haven't figured out a way to get the color back in my selection of custom colors. In the custom color creation tool, I remember seeing that each color is assigned a unique string of letters and numbers, but I don't know how to extract that information from the existing red cells in my spreadsheet. If I knew the code, I could enter it and get exactly the same shade of red I am already using.

I have come up with a band-aid to use my red custom color on the Predictions sheet without hassle, but I'd still like to be able to choose any part on the Standings and Playoffs sheets and assign the red color without having to jump through hoops.

I hadn't spent much time in the customer color area before.

But it looks like its just using HEX color codes for each color and once you add one it automatically keeps it in your recent collection just below the "Custom.." option.

I've played with it a bit today and used Google search, but I'm actually uncertain how you lost the color from the recent collection boxes. I couldn't even find a way to manually delete colors you've added. It just keeps adding another 10 rows of empty boxes.

The only thing that seemed different was that the colors are saved locally for that spreadsheet. So maybe removing last area on that one or clearing your cache on the browser or using different browser...etc lost it.

Maybe if you click on any cell you can just set to that color and manually type in the HEX code (from 2012 spreadsheet) it will resave it to your custom options?

I was able to define a custom color that way and it stuck. (The HEX color is a six-character code that must start with a "#" symbol.)

Hope that helps ya.

Prediction league update:

T1. burninmylight, chocoloco, Mendicate Bias, noname2200, RolStoppable (12-3).

What this five way tie means is that #6 will see no points this week, because everyone who is tied for first or sixth right now has picked the Bengals. Rank 6 has no top 5 worthy record = no prediction points. I'll make sure to mention this again tomorrow when the results and standings are posted.

At least they all have different score predictions.

I am quite sure I lost the color because it doesn't exist in a non-conditional format anymore. I recall a similar issue from last year where my green and red weren't saved to the boxes below the custom color option when I returned to my spreadsheet on a later day. That was after the season opening game though, so I simply chose a new green and red, redid the formating for the season opener and added the colors to empty cells on a different sheet (because the blue and orange I had used on the Standings sheet were still saved to my custom colors, so I figured that would do the trick; and it did). This time around we are almost through week 2 and I don't feel like redoing the conditional formating for all those games.

Yes, I need that one specific HEX code, but I don't know how I get to it. What's the code for the red I am using in my 2013 spreadsheet?

Click on one of those cells and then click the custom color. The popup will have that HEX code already.

I cannot edit your sheet so I cannot get the HEX code directly.

Please change my MNF pick to be PIT by 3.

Yikes, that Niners got was somehow even uglier than the December game!

dam I missed 4 picks.

Not a good week for me, but at least I got the Monday night game right!!!!!

Picking the AFC this year seems easier . Of course the Pats did almost lose both games along with a few other chokes.

Broncos loss star offensive lineman Ryan Clady for the year on a sprain. Shame he got a great long term contract this year and never missed a game before it.

Champ will hopefully be back to destroy the Raiders. Unfortunately, the wait is until Monday. In the mean time buy GTA V all and have fun!!!
