Got a Wii U - PS4's next.

Platinumed Destiny, Vanquish, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, Catherine, and Metal Gear Rising. Get on my level!!

Got the WiiU already, PS4 this holiday season and Xbox one next holiday season or later.
I doubt I'll even have much time to play ps4 with the huge backlog I still have. The only game that interests me on Xbox One atm is Forza 5, and I might as well wait for Forza 6 for a more complete version.

Microsoft jumped into the party too late, as there's already too many games for me to handle!

I can't comment on the next gen, yet. I don't know enough about them. I will say that, gen 7 was like being a parent.

The Xbox 360 is like having a son.
The PS3 is like having a daughter.
The Wii is like owning a really smart dog that thinks it's people.

People who just have a son think it's so much better than having a little girl even though he gets in trouble some times. People with just a little girl think that she's soooo pretty and artistic and so much more refined than having a little boy. Truth be told, 90% of what the boy can do, the girl can also do and vice versa. The dog is fun, too. The problem is, it's just a dumbed down version of a kid.

People with all three know that all of them are special in their own way  And that's my feelings about being a fanboy.  Thank you.

Hmm probably Xbox won and Wii U, but maybe just Xwon as the casual / kid games might create a lack of need of those types of games from Nintendo. However, Wii U does look like it will have some great games for the system coming out in the future.

I will permaban myself if the game releases in 2014.

in reference to KH3 release date

I always feel that console fanboyism doesn't come from standard fanboyism. Not the kind that means I pick at every Marvel film made or kind where fangirls moan at the fact they pick an older gentleman to play The Doctor.

Console fanboyism is about defending your choice when someone else bashes it because you spent time and money on it. It would be the same as if someone came along and sat in your car and first thing they did was comment on how crap it is, how their car is better.

It's a justification of you spending your money on an expensive item. Especially if you can only afford one.

Hmm, pie.

for now I'll stick with my WiiU and fix up a new PC after my last one got stolen. i may get a PS4 later in the gen if there's enough interesting exclusives

The first reason I won't be buying more than one 'next-gen' console is cost. The second is time. I could certainly afford to buy all three but why? I work, go to school (learning is a liflong pursuit kiddos) have kids etc. so why would I spend the money on stuff I won't be able to even really enjoy? Especially when a majority of third party titles will be on at least two of the consoles at any given time.

So I will be getting a PS4 first (doubt I will ever get a WiiU as there just isn't anything I want to play) and will wait to see how the XB1 pans out and for a price drop in the future when/if I have the time to play it. As it is I sold my 360 already because it sat unsused once I finished Alan Wake.... I'm more excited for my new X1 cable box than the XB1 anyways.

I will get a Wii U and a PS4 most likely. I will never get an Xbox One unless something cataclysmic happens.

I had all systems on the Playstation1 gen (Dreamcast, Gamecube Xbox) and this last gen i only had the X360 until this year when i bought a PS3 ( didnt get a Wii because i loathe motion controls).

I only considered myself a fanboy of SEGA. The SEGA of old is still the best developer/publisher to ever exist in my opinion and the world became alot less cooler when they had to leave the hardware business and downsize. I am not a fanboy of any other, but i now completely dislike Microsoft for the way they treated me as a customer, the changes they brought to the market and the atempt to outright gauge us of our right of property. I am not supporting them again anytime soon.

I sympathise with Sony and Nintendo.
