It's not the same qoarter in Japan (but it's close anyway). I bet the game will realese either right before summer in Europe and North America or it will be a fall realese. I really want the game to be like Mario Kart 64 my favorite in the franchise. Hopefully Nintendo won't screw us Europeans this time.

Did DD have 18 maps? So except for old maps, this is 2 less. It isn't same control, you have to use the wheel. Better online than no online? You got it!

Lets hope that its not really 18 tracks and another 18 that are reversed/mirrored of the first 18 tracks.
There are certainly old tracks, there are even pictures of some N64 and Gamecube tracks already.
Expect them to repeat what they did on the DS: 16 new tracks (not 18, it was always 4 cups with 4 tracks each) and 16 old ones.

I hope they only chose to announce or show off half the racks because 16 tracks is a lot less then they told us they'd pack into the game. This game is either going to be full of win and awesome with 32 tracks or full of nothing special like DD and Mario Kart 64! You can't release a game as great as MK DS and then expect us to forget about it when a new console version comes out. MK DS has to be outdone!
