...what? So I was talking to NintendoPie, then you said "why should someone buy a console if it DOESNT have any games a person want right now?" Then I said in the example I was talking to NintendoPie was if there are already some games out that someone wants to play and then you said I'm not even reading what you wrote...If there is nothing out that you want then don't buy a Wii U,the example I said was if there was a few games out that a person wants. Also saying you don't want Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Sonic Lost World, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, WW HD and Super Mario 3D World and saying your not alone, I'm sure most people that are getting a Wii U are interested in at least one of those games. I was never trying to speak for everyone, but the majority of Wii U owners are interested in those games. |
fair enough, but im sure their are some people who arent really interested in titles coming out this year, at least not so much that they will plunk down money to play games that they could just wait for.

Im not talking strictly price tho, its games+price. If it had 5 games I wanted at the current price I would get it but it only has about 2 I want now and a fee more during the holidays so im going to wait for the holidays and it will just so happen to be cheaper at that time.

Yeah, I feel you.
I got lucky and stumble upon it in a thread on RedFlagDeals. But the deal never actually showed up on Costco's website, it was only in store.
Erm...you aren't selling the system in a good light with some of those...
There's a lot of multiplats missing, as are a number of download titles (Trine 2? Runner 2? Toki Tori 2? etc). But right now, that list isn't big enough for a lot of people to take the plunge. Next year it will be, but not right now.
Out of the 26 games listed only 4 peak my interest, so no this is not sufficient for me to invest into the WiiU, below are the only games thus far that peak my interest.
-Lego City undercover
-ZombieU
-Monster Hunter 3
-X
I have no affinity to Nintendo exclusives, I grew up in a Sega household and migrated to Sony platforms. So to me the WiiU has an anemic selection of exclusives that actually peak my interest, then theirs the 3rd party delema, in that I'll be playing the superior versions on the PS4 along with Sony's exclusives. In my opinion Sony currently has the best overall selection of exclusive titles that peak my interest, and yes this is my opinion and I understand that taste in games is subjective, so to each their own, no harm done. I am merely answering the OP's question.
I would of put Zelda Wind Waker HD on that list, but i played the fuck out of it back on the gamecube, plus I have an emulated version as well...I would of played it if it had Trophies/Achievements cuz I'm a sucker for them, but for the time being it's off my list.
Other than that, the only game which would ever make me buy a WiiU instantaneously would be a real main line Pokemon game, no spin of, but the real deal...to bad Nintendo won't ever do that. Sometimes I wish Nintendo sold it's Pokemon IP to Sony or a 3rd party, just someone else who would take more care of the pokemon franchise and evolve it to it's full potential with proper online and all, to bad Nintendo like Ash refuses to evolve the pokemon franchise past what they've done, so we end up with a stale pikachu...God dammit Ash sucks...so much lost opportunity.
In any case, the list presented is enough to easily get the Nintendo aficionados to purchase the WiiU assuming they haven't already done so, but the list at the same time is insufficient to convince everyone else who simply isn't a Nintendo fan to pick up a WiiU....especially when the PS4/X1 are just around the corner. It also doesn't help that the PS4 is only $50 more than the premium WiiU.
That's my 2 cents, take it as you like, after all this is just one guys opinion in a sea of opinions :)

Guessing you've never been much of a Nintendo fan in the first place, eh?

Not when you see the idiotic, frantic savagery of some shoppers on that day. I avoid at all costs, "deals" or not. LOL
