When u say back in the day do u mean NES/SNES era? Because thats a ridiculous argument, u cant compare a 2D game selling consoles in a time when all games were 2D to a 2D game selling consoles in todays market. Also thats over 20 years ago, the video game industry is nothing like it was back then. Or do u mean back in the day as in Wii/DS era? Because thats a foolish comparison as well. Both of the consoles were under $200 at the time and had alot of big games to go along with them when they released. DS-$129, Mario Kart, Mario 64 DS, Animal Crossing, Brain Training, Nintendogs. Wii-$199, Wii Sports/Resort, Wii Fit/Fit Plus, Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros, Mario Kart. And they didnt plan on NSMBU being the only big title for so long. Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Rayman Legends, Wii Fit U were all supposed to come out in the launch window and none of them did, not all of those games are huge but they would have certainly helped give Wii U a solid line up of exclusives for the first half of the year and sales wouldnt be so low. |

Bayonetta 2, X, Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei, Sonic Lost Worlds, Mario KArt and SSB are really promising games + plus Activision and Ubisoft multiplatform games. I just miss Sports games on the list. At least a golf, basketball or tennis game would be great. Fighting games too, but we know that there´s no new fighting game on sight for any platform right now. Of course, players who just want mindless shooting will not be interested on this lineup. |
I thought Monster Hunter 4 was a 3DS game?

The setting is part of the story. A concrete detail regarding the setting is a concrete detail regarding the story. That's true, isn't it?
And I presume this is the one you're talking about? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXrVe0_3X-4
If it is, I watched it six months ago. Or is there something new?

I bought the Wii U on the idea of Zelda and X. Everything else has been icing on the cake.

Call it what you will. I dont care to debate with him if he is not willing to watch the nintendo direct. Why should i have to go watch it again so i can write down the points for him? Let him do that. I do have better things to do with my time.

Yes thats the one. The rest is only interviews and rumors, but yes, breaking with zelda conventions, more freedom to the player. It sounds exciting, especially if you read the latest rumors, wich are in a thread in this website.
It sounds like its gonna be something special. I doubt anyone will be able to say they dont like it after its officially unveiled. So, saying it doesnt interest you, seems premature and inaccurate. Its shaping up to be awesome.
If you disagree, then fine. I just hope the people who say they arent interested stay consistant when it gets unveiled.

Okay. Well, I did see it a while back, and the truth is what was said doesn't really interest me. I don't typically play with other people, with a few exceptions, and truly non-linear open-world games aren't really my thing. To what degree these will even be present in the final product is more than anyone can say.
As far as rumors go, they likewise aren't that interesting. Not because some of the alleged features don't sound amazing, but because they are just alleged. Without some level of corroboration, I can't invest myself in something that's more than likely someone's fantasy.
In the end, my problem with your position here is that, if I've understood you correctly, you're saying that that I am premature in my disinterest because the things that will interest me (the offical unveiling) hasn't happened. That I should be interested now, on the basis that I will be interested later.
When the game is unveieled, it's almost a given that I will be interested in it. I'll be able to look at it, roll it around in my head, and think "that would be really fun to play." But until something that piques my interest is associated with the game, I can't really get interested in it.
