Not the strongest list, but in 2014 I will pick up a Wii U anyway. Pretty weak.

Monster Hunter 4 should be added to that list.
I think the WiiU lineup is pretty good.... for any real fan of videogames. Bayonetta 2, X, Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei, Sonic Lost Worlds, Mario KArt and SSB are really promising games + plus Activision and Ubisoft multiplatform games.
I just miss Sports games on the list. At least a golf, basketball or tennis game would be great. Fighting games too, but we know that there´s no new fighting game on sight for any platform right now.
Of course, players who just want mindless shooting will not be interested on this lineup.

Thats not true at all. If you want Nintendo it just means you still appreciate the old way of gaming some slightly new details. I can appreciate Nintendo, Sony and Microsofts offerings. The question is does the console have enough to good games to warrant a purchase.

This ^^^^^^.
Ones I want NOW are NSMBU, NSLBU, ZombieU, Earthbound. The first 2 I played at a buddies and given the lack of story = not a system seller. ZombieU can't warrant a purchase (just pre-ordered PS4).
But X, Bayonetta 2, Zelda, MK8, SONIC, Mario 3D world = Consideration once price drop late 2014

PSN: Saugeen-Uwo Feel free to add me (put Vg Chartz as MSG)!
Nintendo Network ID: Saugeen-Uwo
The one that will surely be a seller for me will be the next Zelda. Until then I can easily wait.

Ya very few people will buy a console for one game and it looks like Nintendo realizes that. Not many people will buy Wii U just for Pikmin or W101 or Wind Waker or DKC or Wii Fit or 3D Mario but when u combine all those in a short period of time then people will take notice. I find it funny when people say NSMBU failed to sell consoles when thats the only major exclusive. Most people arent going to buy a $300 console just for a 2D platformer. |
2d marios moved a bunch of consoles back in the day. ANd im pretty sure that Ninty thought it would move more otherwise they wouldnt have it as their only major exclusive for so long.
4 of those games interested me. I'll keep waiting.

Mario, Smash, Mario [Insert name] don't interest me enough to buy an expensive console and I'm not at all interested in most of the other stuff. X is something I would get if I had a WiiU, but it won't make me buy one. |
And yet today, it was:

Simply saying "you don't know what you're talking about therefore you are petty" tells me nothing other than the fact you don't know what "petty" means. "The art style shouldnt make a difference on the design of the gameplay." I didn't say that it would. "The controls are with the gamepad controls obviously" Which says absolutely nothing of value about how it will be used. "the story you will never know until the game comes out." Because Nintendo never reveals concrete details about an upcoming game's story... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyHTZkZLn9s |
You confuse setting with story, but sadly for you i have better things to do. You watch the nintendo direct. I already did.

When u say back in the day do u mean NES/SNES era? Because thats a ridiculous argument, u cant compare a 2D game selling consoles in a time when all games were 2D to a 2D game selling consoles in todays market. Also thats over 20 years ago, the video game industry is nothing like it was back then.
Or do u mean back in the day as in Wii/DS era? Because thats a foolish comparison as well. Both of the consoles were under $200 at the time and had alot of big games to go along with them when they released. DS-$129, Mario Kart, Mario 64 DS, Animal Crossing, Brain Training, Nintendogs. Wii-$199, Wii Sports/Resort, Wii Fit/Fit Plus, Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros, Mario Kart.
And they didnt plan on NSMBU being the only big title for so long. Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Rayman Legends, Wii Fit U were all supposed to come out in the launch window and none of them did, not all of those games are huge but they would have certainly helped give Wii U a solid line up of exclusives for the first half of the year and sales wouldnt be so low.
