Dude....Sony will have 30 first party exclusives launching in the first year. Microsoft will have a bunch of exclusive mostly not first party, but still exclusive and they will both share multiplats in between them of next gen quality. Thats far more than my friend has had at any time of owning his Wii U. I told him not to buy it so damn early  but he's a true fan of Nintendo so I couldn't stop him. He got tired of watching me continue to play Playstation exclusives, I guess and wanted to prove to me Nintendos superiority. I sure got that out of Nintendoland. Twas fun but not superior in anyway, but I cant wait until 2014 to see other games come out. Definitely getting Mario Kart and Super Smash.

do you know what first party mean? cause i think you merely meant exclusives. what are those games names? how many of those are small indie titles?

now answer how many big hitters are already fully announced and coming to wii u.

Sorry, twenty first party exclusives in the first year and ten in the second year. Yes, Sony said first party. How many small indie titles has Sony made? Quite a few compared to the slew of AAA titles and mid tier games, but their internal numbers are growing for indie titles.

I dont know how many big hitters were announced for the Wii U. If there were any I will have some at that time. Until then its the same names Bayonetta which is niche (but I still love it) and X.

Since the PS4 will be sold out during the holiday season. I'll pick mine up in February. This list isnt even complete because they haven't shown all of their card yet. Lots of reveals left at Gamescom and TGS.

I will be getting

Killzone: Shadowfall

Infamous: Second Son

Knack

Assassins Creed Black Flag

NBA2k14

Watch Dogs.

wich first year are you reffering to? 2013 or 2014?

and even nintendo doesn't get close to 30 titles a year on a single console, and that's the company who delivers the biggest quantities of first parties titles every year. how the hell is sony gonna develop 30 games?

Probably the PS4, but certainly not the WiiU. Why so many people have voted for it is just strange.
But for what reason do I make such a claim? Look at Pikmin 3. Selling a ton of units....only doubled sales to under 40k. That is still really low. At that rate, no game will get the WiiU to shift a solid 120k+ a week for a few months.

hey genius, the game was released on a single region. I seriously don't know if you're trolling or have some problems.

a 20k sales boost in a region.....is still dire. for a console not even a year old. Sorry, but unless you are doing some serious mental gymnsatics, you can't disagree with that.

you already changed your speech, nice way to keep dignity. for a niche title it did great and the most important part is the momentum it gets along with the other releases.

Some people seem to live in lalaland. WiiU will see a hefty pricedrop this holiday similar to 3DS regardless of Nintendo losing money or not. Nintendo have already turned on their marketing machine and it will go into overdrive this fall.

Wii fit U will be on Opera, and there she'll go on and on about how the original Wii Fit changed her life and invite a bunch of soccermoms who was fat as f*** before they got a hold of Wii Fit. Then they'll be trying out Wii Fit U demo and they'll all go bananas at its ridiculous fun and awsome HD graphics. The 50 million viewers will then rush out to Walmart and gobble up whatever WiiU they can find. It will take off like crazy and outsell Xbox One and PS4 to the point of complete retardedness.

Sales in 2014:

WiiU: 25mill
PS4: 8 mill
XBone: 5 mill

The Wii U is selling less than the PS3 and Xbox 360.

His Wii U number is insanely high but how is ur post relevent to what hes saying?

lifetime sales by 2014 end? it looks acurrate but i think ps4 is too low on that one.

Same reasoning as to why you responded to the insanely high number as well. With the sales they are making now 25 is nowhere in the cards. He's thinking Wii numbers.

I don't get why people bring that figure up. We don't know these games. A good number could be small Move titles and Indie-style games/tech demos. Odds are they'll only be 4 or 5 which will break a million, and even if there are a lot more heavy hitters coming, it's completely irrelevant until we have a release date for these as yet unannounced games. For now, it's just a statistic, and not an incentive to buy the system, and is certainly not enough to ensure no software droughts.

It does seem promising. But we know less than 25% of these titles thus far. So why not wait until we actually kno about these games?

Out of all the companies when Sony says exclusives I expect more AAA's from Sony given their track record. Sorry, Im just going by their track record and we'll see more games at Gamescom anyway.

No, that's fine. I also expect this, but we can never guarantee this until we see these games actually announced. Counting your chickens and all that.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

True.

Ok. I will now procede to explain myself. I've been following this business for years and years. What have I learned? I've learned that its extremely volatile.

The scenario I talked about with Operah is something that could happen. Something that could change everything. None knows when or where the next breakout game will come from. It could be Wii fit U, or not. We don't know.

Who knew a platformer like Super Mario Bros. would make people go apeshit back in the mid to late 80's?

Who knew Final Fantasy 7 would change the gaming landscape in the mid to late 90's?

Who knew GTA 3 would become a nutcase phenomenon in the first half of 2000 and Wii Sports and Wii Fit would become the same shortly thereafter?

Right now WiiU is building momentum and a break away success in late 2013 to early 2014 can create a tsunami. And that's my reasoning for those numbers. Nintendo have done it before and they can do it again.
