Pfff, Japanese voice actors don't count. Because success is determined by where you were born, not how many roles you have played or how talented you are.
There are others who not only gross more, but aren't terrible actors starring in shitty movies. I mean, aside from a popular voice and a decent delivery, what does he bring to the table in these movies? Nothing. There are plenty of other voice actors who elevate a movie. He is the same guy in all of them.

George lopez has blown up in a few short years, and none of his movies were sure fire hits like the ones that Axumblade pointed out. As I said before, besided Shrek 1, everyone knew the other Shrek movies would be huge. Same with Pixar movies. Lopez has been all around, and has still been successful. |
In your OP you said, "Unless someone can come up with some Cartoon voice actor who was around for 40 years, I doubt anyone can top him." Well, Mel Blanc was "around" for well over 40 years, and does indeed top George Lopez in every respect.
You may want to supply a definition of "success" for the purposes of this thread -- box office gross? That would leave VAs who primarily work on TV series at an unfair disadvantage. Number of roles? Length of career? Popular recognition and influence?

Mel Blanc sits on the throne on many categories. Revenue is a poor judge because of inflation and many of the greatest did TV work, rather than movie work. Hell, James Earl Jones is over $4 billion just from 4 movies.
Some of the greatest of all time are (in no particular order):
Mark Hamill
Billy West
Nancy Cartwright
David Kaye
Jess Harnell
Dan Castellanetta
Maurice LaMarche
Rob Paulsen
Tara Strong
Sterling Holloway
Chris Latta
Greg Burson
Joe Alaskey
Frank Oz
Jim Henson
Dawn Messick
Daws Butler
June Foray
