Hmm, I don't know if an action movie would be the best way to go. I remember the Movie Grand Prix http://www.impawards.com/1966/grand_prix_ver2.html
Which was a drama, if Sony can replicate that, then they will be doing the series justice, as GT movie should be more drama than action.

We already have another F1 drama coming out this fall in "Rush" and I'm sure its going to be pretty good since Ron Howard directed it.

Quick poll, what's more stupid:

- A Gran Turismo movie (a game with absolutely no plot or even action)
- A Need for Speed movie (the most redundant thing ever. We already have SIX NFS movies)

Actually we already have seven NFS movies since Fast and Furious 7 is pretty much already done filming and has a July 11th 2014 release date.  Both sound stupid but I have more faith in the Need for Speed movie since its made by Disney one thing is for certain its going to have a pretty big budget.

I have no faith whatsoever in neither of them. They're just gonna be another entry in the long list of mediocre video game movies that failed in the box office. Seriously, who the hell is gonna watch a Need for Speed movie when we have tons of Fast and Furious films? And unless they make something GREAT out of Gran Turismo, I can't see people watching it either.

A GT movie based in GT Academy will be EPIC!!!

Give me that Sony.

Well I'm sure that both will suck but Need for Speed will probably suck a bit less.  Neither will have a change against Fast and the Furious and I'm sure that Universal's F1 drama "Rush" will do pretty good at the box office also especially overseas.

No a movie featuring a bunch of unknows with no plot is not going to be EPIC if you want to see a epic racing movie go see "Rush" this fall or go see a classic racing movie that has been mentioned earlier "Grand Prix".
