Nintendo giving out eShop credit for those who stock up on Wii U funds

Interested in pickup up Pikmin 3 as a digital download? How about Rayman Legends or The Wonderful 101? Nintendo wants Wii U owners to stock up on funds beforehand, and will be rewarding such users with a special offer.

If you add $50-$99.99 before July 28 (with a credit card or Nintendo pre-paid cards), you’ll receive a $5 promotional code. If you add $100 or more, you’ll earn a $10 code.

Nintendo intends to send out codes on August 2 through email. You can find more details about the offer here.

I'm on my third code right now. Pissed me off that the first code I earned disappeared before I could write it down. I redeemed, waited a day before I used it, and when I came back, it was gone forever. Now, I photograph them with my phone and enter them immediately!

Not a bad idea, assuming that i want to spend $100 on the Wii U e-shop over the span of its life, although if i invested in a sizable external HDD, i could easily spend that much.

I'm getting Pikmin digitally (because why would I ever want to take it out of my system?) so this is nice. Combined with the 10% back I'm already going to get this is a nice little savings. And it would be even better if they brought the Pikmin/Wonderful 101 deal to the US! Oh well.
