Will never ever use this feature but if its going to record 15 minutes every time I play, then the console's memory will be filled up with useless gameplay videos that I will never watch and will eventually have to delete.
I also find the share button on the PS4's controller to be pointless.

You will never need to delete because this "space" is reserved only for that... you will never see that happening.

So for the Xbox One, they say it has 500gb of memory, but actually some of it will be used for recording gameplay and quite a lot will  be taken by the software. So really you probably have 400GB of memory for games and other stuff.

5 minutes of 1080p with h.264 codec is less than 512MB... I can't see that much space being used for the record feature.

Now the OSs will take at least 20GB into HDD.

I wonder if you can set the recording options on each console to be shorter or longer, depending on your preference.

I bet you can

pretty impressive that grown men can turn a feature 99% of the normal consumers won't use as ammo in the console war.. never change vgchartz.. never change..

EVERYONE WILL USE IT!

Ohhh, that's not bad then. And now you don't have to download your games from the disc like you had to before so hopefully 500GB is enough.

Errrrr... everygame is installed on the HDD in both (Xbone and PS4)... the BD-drive will be used only to transfer the data to HDD.

But before Xbox One changed their used game policy, you had to install the whole game on to the hard drive. Now you don't have to.

Both PS4 and Xbone have to install the whole game on the HDD... that didn't changed.

BD read speeds is too low for high quality games in 1080p... HDD is need... so all games have the fist chunck of data installed on HDD to you play while the others part of the game is installed in background while you are playing.

If the video is encoded while playing, we might see some good old lag.

Non encoded video in 720p is like 1GB per minute
