I'm sure it also got a huge delay when FFXIV bombed. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the FFXVI staff were moved over to the the FFXIV ARR team to help make the game.

You dont know that.They made it in one year.We saw it in 2011, but how do you know that wasn't the first glimp's of FF12 director Final Fantasy.Remeber, FF14&15 still aren't out so he's in no rush. Trailers dont announce game's as they can be in development for year's before a trailer is made to show the work up till that point (Think Last Guardian.5 year's till a trailer was shown)

Square needs to stop with Final Fantasy and release The Last Guardian already. Its been 2 or 3 years since we've seen anything about it.

We dont have to mark your word's. They already revealed that they have plan's for direct sequels to XV

Like with any Final Fantasy game I will be looking forward to buying it and loving every hour I play.
