I don't think After Earth profited. Its budget didn't include marketing costs which are usually quite high.

Doesn't Game Division losses include PS4 R&D? It'll look better without that next time

How uneventful and boring.
On the other hand, I guess this is full confirmation that the PS2 is indeed done. Now if only they would give us lifetime numbers for each platform...

What place is the Xbox 360 in? Oh yeah I remember now. |
lol quite a defensive retreat you got there. Yes, we are very aware people in Japan don't buy Xboxs. You don't live there, you live in Xbox turf.
But seriously.....sellling 0.2 million more then 360 in the last 3 months? With Europe and Japan? Kinda pops the bubble that they are vastly outpacing.....and its funny that this is only because MS is stubbornly holding onto 2008 360 prices.
That is a rather large drop from last quarter. I guess PS2 was responsible for more than we all thought.
Game division loss surely due to PS4 R&D. No big deal there.
Game division had $149 million loss........anybody remember how much 360 division profited from April-June?
PS3 only shipped 0.2 million more then 360......wow thought it would be higher given Europe and Japan.
Sony profited $35 million.......it is profit, but certainly chump change for a multinational corporation.
I love these threads.....really puts the big 3 in perspective :)

IIRC?
That's easy guys...
Mar 31, 2012: 63.9m
Nov 4, 2012: 70.0m milestone
Mar 31, 2013: 80.4 - (PS2 shipmnet)
Jun 30, 2013: (Mar 31, 2013) + 1.1m
We know the PS2 is down in FY2012 compared to FY2011... so PS2 < 4.1m
PS3 worst case scenario (PS2 = 4.0m): 77.5m
PS3 best case scenario (PS2 = 0.1m): 81.4m
Now everyting depends of how much the PS2 is down yoy... using the down % we have:
PS2 10% DOWN: 77.8m PS3
PS2 15% DOWN: 78.0m PS3
PS2 20% DOWN: 78.2m PS3
PS2 25% DOWN: 78.4m PS3
PS2 30% DOWN: 78.6m PS3
PS2 40% DOWN: 79.0m PS3
PS2 50% DOWN: 79.4m PS3
So take your bet.
