Nobody said that... what we said is that the Game Division posted loss due PS4 that was affected by the weak yen... weak yen helped Sony but did otherwise to Game Division and PS4.

Well Sony will ship 10 million PS3 this fiscal year and I think MS will ship ~8 million in the same period... so 0.1m in one of the lowest quarter is fine.

Now I really don't understand why people are saying X360 is in the decline, but PS3 is in the increase. Comparing to the results to the same Q of last year, both systems are in the decline. So, why people are declaring that X360 is dying, but PS3 is in the new sales momentum?

We definitely need the new systems. X360, PS3 and Wii are too old to survive...

Did you imagine this or did you actually see anyone say this? Because it would be factually wrong and I don't think I have seen anyone say so. YoY decline is very obvious for both consoles

You misunderstood me. I didn't say 1.1m is bad. I just don't understand why people said X360 is dying and PS3 is in the momentum. I think both systems are dying.

The YoY drop is bigger for 360 than PS3 but the MS console a year more in the market... so the 360 is dying fast than PS3.

Firstly, I need to say I am not attacking PS3. Although I am 360 fan, I still have 3 systems and more than 60+ PS3 games. So please don't think I am attacking PS3. In fact, I quite love this system, though less than love my 360.

I am pretty sure that I saw many posts declaring that PS3 is destroying 360, PS3 is in the domination, PS3 is enjoying the sales momentum. But If we see the shipping figures, we will find that the shipment of X360 and PS3 is nearly equal to each other. So, why people is continuing saying X360 is dying, but PS3 is not.

I don't think it is fair to claim 360 is the only dying system (except Wii & Wii U).

BTW, I feel so sad about PSV. The shipment means it is not selling well, although much better than Wii U.

This 1.1m really exposed Sony. It showed most of the shipments the past year were PS2. To go from 3.4 to 1.1??? It just corroborates what i said all along, PS3 wasn't shipping vastly more compared to past years as some would have us believe in order to overtake 360, when every measure of it's recorded sales (NPD, media create etc) were declining in that time.

The only defense Sony guys could offer was "well PS3 must be taking off in other, emerging markets". Despite that, oddly, these other markets never showed up for PS3 until Sony combined PS2 and PS3 shipments so we didn't have an accurate picture anymore. The more reasonable speculation is the PS3 simply was shipping less than in the past, and therefore is still behind 360.

I bet X360 has shipped and sold more than PS3 worldwide. There's almost no doubt after this new info. Of course, 99% of the people on the internet will fight to the death otherwise. But that doesn't make it not true. It is true. Just like PS4 reserves 3GB RAM for the OS despite people dont want to believe...
