Franchises I need to play before putting away my 360:
Gears of War
Banjo (on Live?)
Crackdown (heard it's like Saints Row...)

Other purchases:
Fable 1 Anniversary
Fable 2
Lightning Return FF XIII
South Park: The Stick of Truth

You may enjoy Gears but you'll be disappointed with Banjo on the 360. I mean the games were excellent for its time on the N64 but the versions on Live are a bit fuzzy. Nuts and Bolts was a good game I thought but many didn't like it. Also Crackdown is nowhere near as good as Saints Row. I don't recommend it.

I can't really comment on Gears other than to say that I didn't like it at all, and I haven't played Banjo so I can't comment on it. As for Crackdown, I've only played the first, gameplay-wise it is kind of like Saints Row IV except you have to work harder to improve your powers, whereas in Saints Row IV they're just handed to you. However, Saints Row IV has a much better story, filled with all kinds of fantastic pop culture and gaming references (including the amazing Saints themed mini-remake of Sega Genesis series Streets of Rage). Crackdown is lots of fun, just don't go in expecting a good story, only play it if you like open world sandbox games.

Yeah I had high expectations of Crackdown after hearing it was like Saints Row cause I thought Saints  Row 3 was a pretty good but unfortunately the game play wasn't so great, the graphics were kinda bad and the story was terrible.

Yeah, I really want to play Lost Odyssey, I've watched part of a playthrough on Youtube and it looks fantastic, which is why I really want a successor on the Xbox One, but I haven't actually played it yet, new copies cost more than $60 and I've had trouble finding a used copy in good condition for a good price. Also, I need to buy a new hard drive for my 360 first, since it's on 4 discs it'll never fit on my 20 GB drive, and I've heard that installs are neccessary, otherwise each battle takes like 20 seconds to load.

As for Naruto, not sure if I'll get Storm 3 Full Burst or the new one yet, on the one hand Full Burst has more gamerscore and will be cheaper than the new one is at release, but on the other hand the new one will have more characters and be further along in the story.

Amazon has LO used for $20. Most of the sellers have a high 90%+ seller rating, but I saw a lot do not come with the case. When I played it in 2012 on the Slim model, I never had a mandatory install. But by installing each disc it cuts the loading to less than 5 seconds. Technically speaking, this game was completely different in 2008 then in 2012 in terms of loading, and performace. Again, this was for me on the slim 360. I played one disc at a time, deleted the install when done that disc and moved on to the next, so the game never really went over 9 GBs total.

Get Full burst, lol. I can't believe they made a new one and added more gamerscore, sick of games doing that. I may just the DLC to finish that up. It's starting to get a little milked... Depends on how big of a fan you are, I'll buy all of them, but not everyone wants to do that.

Also... off topic, but are you a DBZ fan? If you are I'm not sure you know, but a new DBZ game comes out tomorrow. I've seen literally NOTHING about this game on here. It doesn't look good IMO, but I just find that weird how no one is even mentioning it when it comes out tomorrow. (According to Amazon). The game is called DBZ: Battle of Z.

I really want to see a Gears of war about Niles and the Secret facility that birthed the Locust. That would be awesome in my eyes.
If not I would love to see a continuation of the series where the cleanse didn't reach certain areas and locusts remained, i dunno something like that.

I LOVE THIS SERIES

I liked GeOW3 and I'll be looking forward to what they do with the new one. I do find it odd though that they announced it just as a fact verses releasing a trailer or something and getting people excited. It makes me think that this decision was made really recently.

The Gears news is pretty disappointing. I don't dislike the series but I definitely would have preferred an actual new IP instead.

There are already several new IPs coming.

I meant as the announcement. I know they're coming. That's why I'm not angry over the news or anything lol, we'll get them in time :)

Main thing about playing gears really, you'll want a friend to play it with and the whole 3 games. Just basically get someone you know to sign up for a proper marathon and blast through them all together, their story is amazing btw so you'll definately want to hush up for some cut scenes more so in the 2nd and 3rd game.

Also regarding your post about blue dragon a while ago you said it was kinda boring and I sort of agree with you a small bit, it was very cookie cutter, if you enjoyed stuff like FF7 and wanted more of that kinda gameplay you were getting a lovely serving of it, but if you wanted something new it just wasn't the game for ya really. Very predictable game I mean, not bad at all but no surprises.

As for MS buying the license after the 3rd game... well I'd love to know what they would do after that point but I would hope that didn't come at a massive cost to them (other than the new IP going on hold) to me it would be sort of like a movie studio buying the rights to the Titanic films after the first one.... Will have to wait and see tho, if they get writers to do the kinda work they did with Doms character.... that stuff was amazing writing.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Cliffy said he got a call last week from Phil Spencer, so that tells me this was finalized recently.

A new Gears is probably still far off. Perhaps 2015 at the earliest. Maybe they'll have a teaser at E3.

Thanks for the tip dude!

The thing is, I feel guilty about never finishing it, because I hate quitting games, JRPGs in particular. I didn't hate the game, I just didn't get that hooked, and I hated that little yellow shit thing, Marumaru?

And I never played FF7... (I'll leave now). xD

Don't feel too bad, I haven't played it either. I've watched the FF7: Advent Children movie though and I loved it, so I'd like to play it one day, but I'm still holding on to the dream of a proper remake first, I don't really want to play the original version as outdated as it is now.

I still have that blu-ray, but haven't watched it yet.

Also, the only FF games I've played are 13 and 13-2...
