You guys think Halo will be ready this year? I'm kind of thinking it'll be delayed also

Like Shika said looking at BETA the game looked far more polished than UC4. I am pretty sure it is not getting delayed anytime soon until they have really messed up something.

I am sure 343i won't repeat the same mistakes as the collection. In addition, I think Halo 5 should release this November, as others have stated, time and manpower were both plentiful this time around. In addition, rolling off of the biggest November NPD ever, I think Microsoft should keep pressing the offensive come the holidays.

Im pretty sure it will be since the beta was already so good. And from rumors and speculation, we may be looking at a september release

I think they'll aim for a pre-November timeframe for Halo 5's release (possibly September).
This way, they can avoid other major releases in November, get some sales momentum early on when it's not too crowded, and then they can further push the game throughout the rest of the year.
I'm just hoping that the final product meets their vision.

Halo needs to take back September.

It seems the XBO version of dmc is superior to the ps4 counterpart.

Most ps4 games have been suffering from lack of anisotropic filtering.. Quite major.

Gotta love how Sony money to capcom still isn't enough to have the superior version(first RE now dmc).

Well, with UC4 delayed that makes the 4 most likely GOTY nominations this year Zelda U, Witcher 3, Arkham Knight, and Rise of the Tomb Raider, all 4 series have had previous GOTY nomination or wins and high meta scores. It'll be interesting to see what's announced at E3 and how that changes the GOTY competition this year. If Bethesda hits us with Fallout 4 and it releases in 2015 instead of 2016, it's basically a shoo-in for GOTY, considering the fact that Bethesda's last 4 games won GOTY.

I hope 343 has something major in store for Halo 5 that would make it GOTY material.
Halo 4, as good as the story was, didn't really innovate the genre in many ways.

I'm unsure of rather or not Halo 5 can snag a nomination. Halo games have managed to get nominations in the past, but they've never won at the Spike VGA's (now replaced by Geoff Keighley's own award show), and only Halo:CE managed to win at the DICE Awards. FPS games often have difficulty even getting nominated, it usually only happens in years where the competition is weak, and it's even more rare for them to win, the only FPS game that won at the Spike VGA's was Bioshock 1 (though DICE is a bit more with FPS fair with 6 out of 16 GOTY's going to FPS games).

Yes its rare to see fps games win goty but lets hope fps game could win a goty this year.

Ori has 99% positive reviews on Steam with 250 reviews. Not sure if I ever saw a game with 99% with a minimum of some hundred reviews. I think 98% was the best I have ever seen.

I haven't played it yet (will start tonight), but I have a hard time imagining anyone who would genuinely dislike such a beautifully made game.
