. But when I went into Gears 1 MP a few years after it released I had negative k/d ratios pretty much every game and in many games I had 2 or 3 times as many deaths as kills. Personally I just can't have fun playing a game when I'm playing that poorly, I get frustrated too easily.

Stick with it. It is a a very skillful game but thats why i love it too.  Best multiplayer game ive ever played xD  You really just need to learn.  And preferrably get a good team to help you out as well

Well, looks like Treyarch is releasing Black Ops 2 this year instead of WaW 2. Star Wars Battlefront just gained several spots on my hype o meter, as much as I'll dislike the Battlefield elements they're more than likely destroying my beloved Star Wars Battlefront with, I'll need a 2nd shooter to play later this year in addition to Halo 5, and since WaW 2 isn't happening I guess that'll have to be Star Wars Battlefront since no other good multiplayer shooters are rumored for 2015 at this time. So I guess congratulations DICE, you are not only going to succeed in destroying a beloved franchise of mine, you're also going to succeed in getting me to buy it day 1 : /

There is also rainbow six siege. That looked really good at e3 last year.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Gears is pretty much the only multiplayer shooter I've tried where I had a truly poor performance. I'm good at Halo, good at CoD, good at Battlefield, good at Titanfall, good at PvZ: Garden Warfare, good at the original Star Wars: Battlefront games. And I was good at pretty much all of the above games right from the start, had a few issues early on with Halo and Star Wars Battlefront since they were literally the first 3D shooters I had every played, but I got the hang of them after a few games. But when I went into Gears 1 MP a few years after it released I had negative k/d ratios pretty much every game and in many games I had 2 or 3 times as many deaths as kills. Personally I just can't have fun playing a game when I'm playing that poorly, I get frustrated too easily, so after putting about 6 hours into the multiplayer I gave up.

It is probably a combination of the game being highly skill based and also playing against people who had been playing the game for years and are pretty good at it. If you get the hang out it however, you'll fall in love. You can destroy teams single handedly with your gnasher and it's incredibly satisfying.

Ehhhh it really isn't for everyone lol. I started out good on Gears! It just felt so natural! It was so smooth and the controls felt very tight and precise. While on the other hand even though my best friend loves the game and the multiplayer but he SUCKS at it even to this day lol.

Oh really?  Rarely do i see people starting out well.  The reason is, because people moe extremely slow when they first start gears multiplayer.  They dont know how the movement works of rolling, running, wall bouncing, etc. A lot of new people walk a lot and aim their Gnashers etc

Yeah it was odd man because my friend who told m eabout the game is the one who said it would take a min to get used to. But it felt amazing my first time and I was a natural with the shotgun on it. Maybe because I am way mor eof a TPS person than a FPS person I guess. GEars 1 is still to this day my favorite of the series and my favorite Xbox 360 game!

Gears 3 was better to me than the rest. One is more memorable than the other 2 tho.

But speaking of shooters that are releasing next year, I'm still hoping that Microsoft hits us with a surprise announcement of Quantum Break multiplayer at E3.

I have been asking for this for a long time now, it will be even cooler if Max Payne(motion captured by Lake himself) would be playable if it had multiplayer.

Proud to be a Californian.

Gears is my favorite competitive game by far, there is so much to it.

It always feel satisfying killing someone in various different ways.
