Eneloop is the best thing you could get. One charge for me lasts at least 2 weeks.

The effect might be nice, but the new lightsaber design itself is shit. Reminds me of one of those huge Swiss army knives that always have those one or two extra mini blades you'll never ever need.

Agreed. It looks impractical to me. I'm guessing they're trying to make it look more like a real sword by giving it a crossguard to protect the users hands from enemy lightsabers, but it doesn't look functional since an enemy blade would be able to cut right through the side emitters and into your hand, unless of course the side emitters are made out of Cortosis or another material that can't be cut by a lightsaber. I've seen cooler non-standard lightsaber designs in fan films than that official design.

Ya, not to mention lightsabers, unlike regular swords, are circular. So since they don't have any actual sides, depending on how you happen to be holding it and or clashing them together, one could slide the weapon down without ever hitting those two side blades. Just stupid
