Man, 343 really screwed up the launch of MCC. Sitting at 87 now instead of 90+ like it should. My prediction went completely down the toilet. Halo 4 had a buggy launch as well. For their sake Halo 5 better run smooth at launch.

It should. The reason that Halo 4 and Halo:MCC had launch issues is because there was no beta test for either, no way to stress test the servers ahead of release to prepare them for the heavy traffic of hundreds of thousands of players trying to get matched up all at once. Halo 5 is not only going to have 1 beta, but 343 has also recently been hinting that there'll be a 2nd, open beta sometime next year, and open betas are perfect for stress testing servers.

I just think halo 5 is gunna be huge. Probably 10-15 maps designed for 8 players or less. Another 5 for big team battle. And I get the feeling(from various quotes) that whatever else they got for mp it's gunna be big. Either an evolution of spartan ops or something else(possibly a large scale class based mp ala battlefield)

im so glad we got mcc this year instead of them rushing halo 5, and I think it will pay off.

Personally, I do not want another spartan ops (laggggggg and got repetitive).

I do want them to overhaul firefight though and focus on that for Halo 5.

I agree on both points. But it was a good idea but execution was poor.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Firefight better make a return. I only made it halfway through spartan ops before I got bored and stopped.

I don't know what it is about Halo 1 singleplayer but I almost find it a chore to play. I've tried to get through Halo 1 singleplayer 4 different times over the last decade and each time I gave up by about mission 5. It's strange, because I love the singleplayer in Halo 2, 3, and 4, and I even like ODST and Reach singleplayer quite a bit more than 1. The story is great, the music is great, but the gameplay just feels like a slog to me. Hit detection feels like it's off on the pistol sometimes, I hate the slower recharge on shields and the non-recharging health, some of the enemy encounters are really annoying. I know some people would say that's blasphemy because Halo 1 is their favorite (it has the highest meta in the series ironically), but I just can't get into Halo 1.

I really feel like I need to finally beat Halo 1 before I move on to Halo 2 in Halo:MCC, I need to just keep on powering through it I guess. Maybe I should find a co-op partner, co-op makes everything better usually.

I think the hit detection is feeling off to you because the pistol in CE isn't a hitscan weapon. You need to lead your shots slightly with the pistol.

Any one started their LASO runs? I'm just getting into speedrunning CE at the moment. Got some alright times so far but only on a few levels.

Nah, that's something to save until the end

I tried one mission on LASO and didn't get to the first checkpoint. However I'm top 10 in the world in my legendary speed runs of the silent cartographer and assault on the control room :D

The AC Unity with Kinect bundle is up 82% to #29 now that the CoD:AW bundle sold out. The AC Unity Kinect-less bundle is holding at #11. Both SKU's are ahead of their closest competing PS4 SKU's. Pretty impressive considering we're heading into a week where Sony has 2 marketing deals for popular multiplat games (Far Cry 4 and GTA V) as well as an exclusive (Little Big Planet 3). Still think Microsoft should have done more with their Dragon Age: Inquisition marketing deal, a bundle would have been amazing, Xbox One might still be selling twice as much as PS4 in the US if MS would have had a Dragon Age bundle ready for this week. Hopefully they'll bundle it by early December since there's a strong chance of Dragon Age winning GOTY in early December, which could make alot of people want to play the game.

I really don't know why ms refuses to manufacture more of those white xbox one bundles.

Are they trying to increase the value of a white xbox one for future games?  I guess to make future games bundled with the white xbox one sell better?

I really hope thay have something secret brewing, imagine how epic a White Halo:MCC + Dragon Age bundle would be for December? Dragon Age could easily win GOTY in early December which would increase it's popularity, plus there'll be people wanting to get a copy of Halo:MCC before the Halo 5 beta starts in late December. Combine that with the high demand for the White console and sales should be through the roof. Make it happen Microsoft.

That sounds so epic.

Hopefully, something like that is coming in December.  Definitely makes sense with your point about the Halo 5 beta.
