I hope they make the new one less linear and give me more control over my character instead of just run and gun. Those were the only things i didnt like about the previous games.

They still have FTL so they can get around but it just takes forever. Kind of if aeroplanes were suddenly to become a non-valid transport method here on Earth sort of thing.

I personally think they'll set it a long time after the events of the first trilogy so that it really is the "Legend of the Shephard". By this point the surviving races will likely have discovered how to build Mass Relays.

Yes, if it is set after. I'm thinking prequal set in the first contact war. Single game set in the universe, all decisions affect the ending etc, while the overall outcome of the war won't ever change, just the story.
